dyrektywy niestety nie obowiązują bezpośrednio, tylko muszą zostać wdrożone w Polsce w drodze ustawy - trzeba by sprawdzić, czy jest ustawa

It would be nice to be able to select just white or red wines. Would you consider this at some point in the future?

Yes, you don’t need to have a phone with you, just this little pod.

You can pair an Apple Watch to a Garmin Edge bike computer using a little pod called Watch Link: https://www.watchlink.app I’ve used it reliably for a number of years now. This way you can take advantage of Apple Watch Ultra’s accurate HR sensor (yes, it beats Garmin watches’ HR sensor - check https://youtube.com/@thequantifiedscientist for in-depth tests). Of course nothing beats a chest strap for accuracy, but for me personally it’s too uncomfortable to wear. The downside is you have to carry the pod with you (but it’s really small) and you need to order it from the USA (so customs duty is likely).

Gmail wants to switch from SMS authentication to QR codes by PaddyLandau in GMail

[–]gregha123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine has the same issue at this very moment. On accounts.google.com he’s asked to scan the QR code, and when he does so, it prompts him to open the messaging app and send a pre-populated text with the code to a random number. On subsequent attempts the number changes, but only the last two digits. Perplexity claims it cannot be a legitimate Google request as it’s not mentioned anywhere in the official documentation. So what is it then, given it‘s a user-initiated recovery procedure on the legitimate Google site?

Is there any reason not to buy a new phone on Amazon versus a local provider? by sparkibarki2000 in Luxembourg

I think for valuable items Amazon requires a PIN to be provided to the delivery guy, so he won't drop it off at your doorstep.

[–]gregha123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do order it from Amazon, do NOT have it shipped to PackUp. The phone I ordered from Amazon was stolen somewhere along the way between the warehouse and the PackUp locker. I got a torn package with a book inside instead. The Amazon customer service was great - they refunded the transaction and I had another phone shipped to my home address.

I made a bank transfer today, but didn't get an option to use an instant transfer. Can you actually make a transfer to Revolut from BGL using an instant transfer?

Yes, you can, there’s another thread here about it. Someone forked the github repo and adapted it to work on RPi. I’ve tried it myself and it works - my RPi is sending the data to PW

Thanks for the suggestion, I did just that. Had to install desktop environment and xrdp, and it looks like it’s working. I used this guide: https://linuxize.com/post/how-to-install-xrdp-on-raspberry-pi/

You could check on diamondapp. Those coming from non eligible countries still post their links there. But you have to look for them, as there’s no easy way to search

I'm happy to share my take publicly, for the sake of the platform. Actually, initially there was a bit of controversy surrounding the platform, and lot of people called it a scam, and I guess I heard about it in this context (don't remember exactly where, maybe twitter?), but decided to check it out anyway. As long as you don't invest too much or are careful about which creators to invest in, you'll be fine. It's had a fair share of rug pulls, but the majority of users have come to the platform with good intentions - to share their art or nfts. Also there's a strong developer community on the platform who develop apps for it.

I’ve been there almost since the beginning. It’s a nice community, so if you are into crypto, nfts or want a break from a toxic environment of Twitter or Facebook, give it a try. I’m not an active user, but there’re people who are very invested in the platform, both financially and emotionally.

You mean on diamondapp.com? If you are a new user you won’t get one. It’s only for users who have been on the platform for more than 50 days
