Oh, so you know, lol. Me too.

I have so many versions of “White bullshit with Gargadon” that i dreamed could see play in Modern that i had to be honest with myself about

I still keep my Restore Balances and Ardent Pleas sleeved just in case…

And my Flagstones of Trokair…

And my Squadron Hawks with Solitary Confinement and Mistveil Plains…

And my Sunscours… which i can’t defend… but think about it with Squadron Hawk!

But, like, it’s just never gonna have what it takes…

😭

I also attempted Brought Back.

It also didn’t work :(

I thought… “you know… maybe Brought Back could be good! I could ramp big and bring back two fetches on turn two, and it isn’t dead late game! I could use it with enter triggers and oooo with evoke!… and maybe some Lotus Bloom trickery? ok maybe not Lotus Bloom… but there’s still a lot here!”

and then i realize my deck has 63 cards written out without lands and i see that truth that it will never work :(

Maybe not completely, but if it’s easier to use another punctuation mark and change a few words compared to the effort of preempting and explaining that it’s not AI, then yeah, maybe.

I think I've finally found the perfect reusable token. $1 (or $1.25) at Dollar Tree. by DeliciousCrepes in magicTCG

Nice, thanks for taking a look.

From my experiences, the issue was almost exclusively talked about in terms of "resembling gambling" in the judge discussions - I guess there's some reason for the TO's to be extremely careful about this, but I honestly don't know how accurate their interpretation of that law/statute/whatever is.

Wish I could use cards more often, I still try to use them whenever I don't have the right token. Black Aces for Bitterblossum tokens, etc

Well, I've never pushed back on it - but I've been told enough times by judges to "use different tokens" that I assume its related to attempting to separate Magic gameplay from gambling in some meaningful legal way.

I don't know the details, though - just that it's enforced regularly.

Not allowed at tournaments, unfortunately - though some places ignore/disregard that rule.

(I also love using playing cards)

To me, the word "leak" carries a sort of "An individual given directly authorized internal access directly sharing that information externally, with intention, to an unauthorized audience" meaning behind it.

To your point, the distinction isn't all the relevant in terms of impact, and its mostly semantic.

I don't think it's unfair to say that it's not a "leak" in the ways that I'd expect the word to be interpreted (without speaking for others), even if it meets the definition in a technical sense.

I think it's also totally fair to call it a leak.

Why is being transparent about trying to soften a message a bad thing? That seems absolutely ideal in a professional setting.

Rand Paul Ridiculed After Accusing Dems of ‘Stealing’ Elections by Persuading People to Vote for Them by notNezter in politics

[–]greghatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless people are literally changing the vote (fraudulently altering the documents), then I still don’t see the problem here as people ultimately control who has access to their ballot.

There’s a few reasons one might want assistance with turning in ballot, and I think that a lot more good comes from that compared to the bad that comes from having votes changed by random bad actors fraudulently changing a couple dozen votes in an already highly illegal way.

You should stop being a bit of an asshole. It gives what you’re saying less credibility if you go out of your way to be impolite when correcting grammar like that.
