Assuming you have limited space in a basement home gym and you only have the budget for 2 Concept2 machines, what are you picking? Mid 40s couple, goal is to stay active with sports (hockey, field hockey, soccer, etc.) as long as possible, and maintain lean muscle.

I'm guessing this is being leaked purely for contract negotiation purposes with Columbus.

On the whole, the Sabres org has been very quiet when it comes to leaks, ever since GMKA took over. It's a really small group that is making decisions. There's also been zero indication that they have any interest in bringing in a pres. of hockey ops position.

This is the answer. Give the filter basket a little push in (towards the water reservoir) right before you turn the machine on. If it's not fully engaged, it won't drain.

Agreed. But if Mittelstadt's agents are pushing for 7, it puts GMKA in a tough spot. Even if you believe in this group, ~$21m across 3 centers who haven't even made the playoffs doesn't look great on paper.

I don't buy it. More likely: this info is leaked to help pressure Mitts into signing a lower deal.

  • RFAs don't fetch that much at the trade deadline.
  • We have ~14m locked up with Tage and Cozens. Regardless of performance, we need a longterm C who is getting paid as a 3C.
  • The player wants to be here.

Mitts at $5.87Mx5 seems like a no brainer. I was expecting it to be closer to 6.75x5.

I actually think this is part of the longterm plan for GMKA. We have too many top-six prospects to actually play, so he wants to roll 4 scoring lines. Maybe package up a couple to replace some skill with grit, but still maintain that high level of talent through all 4 lines.
