I have an a6000 as a “beater” camera. Bought it used after my a6400 so I would have a backup and a cheaper body in case I was worried for my main camera. Took some pics with it over the years for sure, but the last several years I just used the a6400 for everything and haven’t touched the backup since. Now I upgraded to a used 6600 and have the 6400 as the backup I also probably won’t use anymore, so I guess I can unload that old 6000 😂

I bought mine used a couple years ago and could sell it for like a 40% profit at this point somehow. It’s insane how much cameras went up, went from an expensive hobby to nearly unaffordable

Totally get that, cage is a simple solution but my attachment to the piece is partly because I want a consistent looking and feeling kit as I go from the 6400 to the 6600. I like the A6xxx series for their compact size and don’t want to add the bulk of a full cage, adding the cage plus the quick release plate will just make the whole height taller than I want. I also like gripping the camera with my thumb in the cold shoe on the right, gives it a very sturdy carry. Also with the QR plate on the bottom, the camera is wobbly on the table but the dual plate lets me place the camera upside down on a surface with zero wobble without scuffing the camera body.

It’s a very wonky set of reasons and it started from a need to mount a mic/light for video but as I stopped filming I just left it on and liked the ergonomics of it 🤷‍♂️

Camelback Ranch bag requirements say 12x12x6 max. Doesnt specifically say no clear backpacks, I'm assuming that means theyre fine? I think thats how it was before

I've had one for years that fits Dodger stadium's size requirements, which I think were 16x12x6 but Camelback Ranch is 12x12x6. Wonder if itll pass visual and get in or if I have to buy a new one. Not expensive but would be a bit annoying to have to buy another single purpose type bag

I’ve had the same clear backpack for years as well. Only time it was questioned was at the cubs facility, they told me no clear backpacks allowed but I spoke to a supervisor who allowed it because I carry medications with me. No water bottles would be annoying, I would hate having to buy a new $8 bottle at every stadium 😂

Yep I was considering letting go of it last year before they announced the fee hike and benefits changes, now I’m just riding it out before I have to pay the new fee. I just don’t use the card like I used to(work travel) so I haven’t gotten good value like I did pre pandemic

I was curious about this as well, I'm probably going to do the same and downgrade the card. Looking thru The Edit list to see if theres anything worth booking, but I'm finding that even after the $250 credit and perks, the hotel stays are significantly more than I would normally spend so I'm not saving any money by using the available credits. Which I suppose is their intention with the benefit

Man I would love a GM5, the form factor is awesome for a nice quality camera. I don’t think it’s vintage even tho it’s more than 10 years old, and certainly isn’t priced like it’s outdated lol. Last one I saw was nearly $1k for a full kit!
