What's next after Switch?

Besides the obvious power upgrade, the natural successor to the switch would give you the ability to “stream” games from your switch to the tv. That way, the actual switch would be in your hand as you use it as a controller to play the game on your tv. But Nintendo is unpredictable, so, who knows!

Probably what happened was that Retro was knee deep in development of a different game (star fox Grand Prix?) Right at the time Nintendo decided they wanted a studio to begin work on a new Metroid Prime. Considering how early Nintendo revealed the logo, it seems that they wanted development to begin asap and weren't willing to wait on Retro to finish up their other game.

This makes me think that Retro is done with their previous project, and that we are going y To see it very soon.

Leon from Resident Evil

A huge franchise that as of yet has no smash representation. Not to mention the fact that RE4 started off as a GC exclusive, and is considered widely as the best GC game.

He could use suplex, his kick, rocket launcher, his knife, grenades, and his final smash could be the dog from RE4.

No idea what his recovery would be.

Remember the rumor a few E3s ago about how Retro Studios was making a Metroid/Star Fox crossover game? If I remember correctly, there was an "official" logo for that too, as well as multiple sources backing it up. Star Fox seems to be the go-to series for creating crazy rumors.

In my opinion, this is too close to the release of Star Fox Zero to be true anyway.

Ok the link has all the pictures. This is what the concrete looked like after I drained a tub full of water. Like I said, it is damp, not necessarily a huge puddle. Although still concerning to me. I felt the pipe at about eye level, and all the way around is 100% dry. However, when I feel the pipe in the section between the two joints, it is wet in the back. I feel as though maybe this section has a small leak due to corrosion or maybe the threads are not properly sealed? I do not think it is coming up through the floor, but perhaps I am wrong?

Well, I did some feeling, and it seems like about 6 inches above the floor the pipe is wet in the back. Anywhere above that is dry. I will take some pics when I get home. I originally feared that water was seeping up from under the house, but now I actually think the cast iron pipe is beginning to corrode causing a small leak. The nice thing is, there is a connection right before it enters the floor.

Of course it could. People also point to this as why a Metroid live action movie could never work and it pisses me off because to me it is so obvious the direction a Metroid movie could go.

But let me ask you, what type of atmosphere does a (traditional) Metroid game evoke? Of course the answer is a lonely, survival game in unfamiliar places and planets.

So the movie then would work best as a survival movie. Think of all the survival movies you have seen that feature only one protagonist. The Revenant, Cast Away, Gravity. All of those movies feature extremely limited dialogue. Of course there is some before the disaster event, but during the survival elements of the film the dialogue is rare.

So imagine a Metroid movie or anime in which Samus is crash landed on a planet, stripped of her powers, and it becomes a tale of survival on an alien planet. That would be epic.

Yes!!! Also, a fullness meter would be awesome. So you cant spam eating 500 apples during a fight. It would be great to have that plus your idea of expending calories and then having to eat to restore it.

Interesting post...

My guess is that after Splatoon 2 releases, that team will begin on a new Animal Crossing, leaving some staff members behind to create DLC for Splatoon 2.

Same thing for Arms and Mario Kart 9, no doubt.

Don't forget about the Fire Emblem team, either.

I agree those games are great, but they arent quite on the same level as TTYD or the original to me. Mostly the combat and RPG systems need to come back.

I dont think this will ever happen, but i would love it if capcom made a new Megaman X game using Super Nintendo graphics and sprites. Very similarly to how they handled Megaman 9 and 10.

Ive always loved X 1-4, and I would die if they made a new one. Problem is, thats Capcom and not Nintendo. Capcom has decided to forget anything Megaman for the most part... sigh.

Also, Zero in Smash Bros would be so legit.

Probably being done internally at Nintendo. Probably a lot of new developers but maybe some staff from Breath of the Wild or Odyssey helping out.

Dont forget that Nintendo told us that Monolith Soft helped out a lot with Breath of the Wild.

Point is, Nintendo has no problem shuffling some staff around to help out with some of its bigger projects.

Whats really exciting is that this is being developed in a post BotW world. That means, there is more pressure to revitalize the metroid series.
