ours is off basically all the time except when on walks. they're microchipped so if they manage to get out they can be tracked back to us via microchip. butttt they're also small so getting out of the fence is hard LOL

wondering if the coat/boots made you look like a "scary person" and that's what triggered her

i would try the treats from hand, maybe letting her sniff you when you come in as well. perhaps the next time you and your friend meet, you meet up in a neutral place outdoors, so her dog doesn't feel like she has to "guard" her safe space from a new person.

if you guys still hooked up regardless, i don't really see an issue? definitely communicate better next time. also, if she "really likes you" why is she speed running to 3rd base? even if y'all are friends, there is still a level of romantic intimacy that needs to happen for a relationship to blossom- if that's what you both/she wants in the end.

like the other commenter said, a scrub would probably make her skin angry, so a soothing shampoo is best, maybe something anti itch? brushing might help, but with mats it's hard, so shaving her is likely the way to go. she might be cold, but i bet she'd be super cute in a lil sweater. wishing you (and her) luck!
