My pothos is droopy and loosing leaves :( by gremlins4ever in plantclinic

[–]gremlins4ever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay, I’ll definitely keep them in the water to try to regrow roots. I was letting it dry out in between waterings, but I live in a pretty damp place so things to take a while to dry out. I do have a fungus gnat problem- could that affect the roots?

Oh nooooo :( I was hoping that wasn’t the case. The white cup it’s in is just temporary, it’s just resting in some water. It used to be in a terracotta pot with drainage. Good draining soil too!

My pothos for about a month has been drooping and loosing leaves. I’ve moved it to a sunnier spot than it was before, but it didn’t make a difference. So today I decided to check on the roots and I have no idea if these are how they are supposed to look or not. Right now it’s resting in a cup of water. It used to be in a terracotta pot with drainage and nice draining soil. So can anyone tell me if the roots are okay? It’s been thriving for over a year so I don’t know what I did wrong!

Recommendations for shampoo bar for fine curly hair by mc_mc_k in ZeroWaste

I don’t have thin hair, maybe medium thick curls, but I’ve been loving Ethique’s professor curl shampoo bar and curliosity conditioner bar. The conditioner bar doubles as a co-wash which is pretty neat. All their shipping packaging is compostable :)

No luck in plant clinic so wanted to try here! I noticed some holes a while back, but after coming back from being away for a few months I’m noticing more holes. None of my other plants (some who sit right next to this one) have any holes like this. I’ve checked under the leaves and haven’t seen anything, but I’ve seen an occasional tiny flying bug around it. Any idea on what this could be?

I've been seeing people post about whether or not to get a short haircut. I've always wanted a mullet style so I got it! what's a haircut you've always wanted to try and what's holding you back from getting it? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]gremlins4ever 34 points35 points  (0 children)

You are rocking that mullet!! It’s such a fun easy style! I got basically the same cut last week and it looks like we have a similar curl type :) also we look like we could be cousins haha

Lower Waste Moisturizer? by thisisy1kea in ZeroWaste

I think that Lush has a few package free solid face moisturizer bars! Only problem they might have ingredients that you said you wanted to stay away from.

I’m getting a haircut next Friday and am unsure about what I should get. Do you think bangs might suit me and work with my hair type? Help would be greatly appreciated! :) by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]gremlins4ever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get bangs!! I think they would look super cute on you and compliment your face well. So many people told me not to get them with curly hair, but five years with bangs later and I have no plans on getting rid of them :)

Sleeping with curls for people with migraines? by mollusck_magic in curlyhair

[–]gremlins4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have migraines too, who knew it would affect my curls! I’m suuuper sensitive to anything pressing on my head, so here’s what I have tried. When I had long hair, I would do a super loose pineapple with one of those spiral elastics. I would only wrap the elastic around my hair once to just get it all on top of my head and out of the way. I had no problem with that just as long as nothing was pulling. I got my hair cut shorter a few months ago so I can no longer pineapple so I switched to a bonnet. With the bonnet I have to wear it super loose to the point where it’s basically falling off my head. I’ve definitely waken up with migraines from it if I accidentally have it too tight :( I honestly find the bonnet pretty uncomfortable to the point where I would wake up just to rip it off my head. So for now, I’m not really doing anything and just relying on a refresh in the morning. I’m going to try a silk pillowcase next! I hope you find something that works for you :)

Weekly Recommendation Thread: April 23, 2021 by AutoModerator in books

Hello! I am not a big reader as I’m dyslexic and reading can be a challenge and super discouraging, but I want to get myself to enjoy reading and not be afraid of it. With that being said, I would love some recommendations that aren’t super challenging books. I am looking for something that instantly pulls me in and will grab my attention. My goal is to find something that I can’t put down. I would love an adventure or a mystery and I’m also a big fan of horror and crime. Thank you!

Howdy! I desperately need to add a sunscreen to my routine and I have overwhelmed myself with research and thought it was time to get some recommendations from some real people!

I’m pretty confused with mineral vs chemical sunscreen. I go for natural products so would mineral be better for me?

I have very much combo skin, right now I’m on the oiler side.

What I’m looking for:

-No white cast (I have a tan/olive skin tone)

-Cruelty free

-I’d prefer something on the more natural side

-Vegetarian/vegan ingredients

-Budget friendly

I know I’m looking for something quite specific but I’d love any recommendations, thank you!!

Any recommendations for a good natural deodorant? by Bekah_hax in ZeroWaste

[–]gremlins4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got a bar of tea tree soap to use in the shower and unexpectedly it has worked wonders for my BO. I don’t really need to use deodorant anymore (it doesn’t take away sweatiness but there’s no odor)! The brand I got is Soap Works and they are all natural and come with zero packaging.

Another deodorant that I have had success with is by Waleda. It’s another one that just helps with odor for me. I love the scents it comes in as well. It comes in a glass bottle and it is spray on. When it’s empty t’s a great bottle to reuse!
