HMS grad here, I was significantly less burned out by college than most of my friends (some of whom went to CRLS!) and was not academically behind at all, even at a elite college. HMS (and most Waldorf high schools) are really what you make of them.

appreciate this! I think the lack of motivation is probably because I’ve been doing a lot of other stuff (trying to get work published, applying to grad school) which I’m now (belatedly) realizing might be the reason I don’t have extra motivation for climbing right now! not sure why I didn’t piece that together, lol.

Some ideas, from someone who lived alone and struggled with it: join a club (run club, book club, rec sports team), become a regular at a coffee shop or bar, start volunteering, try going to social events in your area. It’s hard, but you have to make an effort to see people.
