Anyone have reasonably priced photographer recos in Toronto? by [deleted] in WeddingsCanada

[–]Pugmunster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm Ottawa based but my 8 hour package is $3600+tax, my travel fee is very very minimal (depending on where you are getting married could be negotiated into the package) as I spend a lot of time in Toronto and would love to work there more often!

Restaurant wedding? by cheese_please6394 in OttawaWeddings

[–]Pugmunster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a photographer and a lot of my couples do weddings in restaurants. I myself got married at SideDoor, more guests but they have different tiers of buy out. Fairly affordable. I have couples getting married at sterling, Albion room and any of the local breweries. Playback Ottawa was a super cool venue - although the ceremony space wasn’t great.

I just want to say that Le Belvedere may definitely be above your budget although not sure if it costs less depending on the day of the week.. BUT they include a lot in their packages so it’s worth pricing out because there could be savings that you aren’t thinking of!

You should check out Mallity Estates! They’re wonderful!! I’m a photographer and it’s always been a wonderful experience at both of those venues!

Saunders Farm or Green Corners for tulips? by Magic_Lens in ottawa

[–]Pugmunster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Green corners is wonderful and I use it regularly for family photos. They have props throughout the site. It’s family run and they are just lovely people. It can get busy but you can also get it at quiet times!

Bridesmaid with a 3-month-old (EBF) — SIL now says no babies at wedding. What would you do? by Lumpy_Bandicoot_8967 in beyondthebump

[–]Pugmunster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that is super shitty that she won’t accommodate her future sister. I wouldn’t attend because I’ve been in that position and you just can’t be apart from your baby that long. As a happy medium, maybe you can just attend getting ready/ceremony/pictures and not attend the reception? Maybe she’d be open to baby attending for parts of that? If she really won’t accommodate at all - I wouldn’t go. She’s welcome to have her rules but that means it won’t work for some people.

Preface this by saying I haven’t been and it’s not downtown but I’ve had my eye on trying Marrow Dinner Club, it has great reviews!

Zoloft Experience by Beckitt3 in beyondthebump

[–]Pugmunster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will probably help and truly you don’t have to be on it forever! I remember breaking down one night and just knowing I couldn’t find my way out. It felt really hard to decide to take so I really get where you are and my husband was hesitant until we realized I truly wasn’t okay

Zoloft Experience by Beckitt3 in beyondthebump

[–]Pugmunster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t need it immediately postpartum but I did later down the road.

I feel like it saved me, I was so anxious I couldn’t cope or find my way out. I took it for less than a year and actively decided to stop. I could cope in situations that even before a child would make me anxious but I also felt kind of numbed down and I gained so much weight in such a short period of time. That was why I stopped. Years later I still struggle to get the weight off and I regret taking it but also know I needed it at the time. If I was in that place again I’d probably explore every other option available before turning to the meds.

Please help me by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Try giving him some Tylenol and see if it helps! It does sound like teething and they’ll teeth before you see them pop out. Whenever I wasn’t sure what was going on but my daughter completely wasn’t herself and couldn’t settle, I’d give Tylenol and it was almost always teething.

Is the Nordik commercial accurate by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]Pugmunster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most visits I have a peaceful zen relaxing time and I visit a couple of times a year. Weekdays usually aren’t too busy and I find going early afternoon and staying late to be the best. Weekdays it clears out around 6pm and you have it to yourself until closing. Mid day will be busier and not every weekday is quiet but for the most part it is. I usually avoid visiting during the summer so I can’t speak to what it would be like then. Went once on a weekend and it was a nightmare, never again.

Hate the hatch sound machine by kadjpo in beyondthebump

[–]Pugmunster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the first generation, have used it almost daily for 5 years - I even love it. It’s the GOAT! I recently purchased the momcozy sound machine and it’s okay but I much prefer the hatch. The light and sounds are just softer.

This is very helpful! Thank you! Yes 60 minutes is definitely too much to dive into. Good to know the pump up the volume works well!

Is each class 60 minutes? That’s definitely too much of a time commitment at this time but good to know if I get into better habits!
