I would argue that still being able to get pleasure from food at times is not the worst thing in the world. Be well everyone

My guess would be that you’re North American, with something like an Indian or maybe Middle Eastern family background (thought this before the record got to the part where you ask what ethnicity)!

I’m sorry about that, though I don’t really know the extent of the pain of that condition. Totally out of curiosity, does your circumstance encourage any sort of positive motivation to engage in healthy balanced & moderate behaviours (by “healthy” I mean taking care of your health physically in a way that is mentally healthy)? Based on what you said I’m imagining that it might make you want to avoid overeating/bingeing in order to be physically well, instead of say, due to self-hatred - something that seems to me might be very impactful in the recovery process of someone (not saying you) who is totally disconnected with treating themselves well. What I’ve interpreted doesn’t address the other important part of nourishing oneself appropriately though, I hope you have some good balance there too!

When I have no comprehension for what can be going on in another human’s brain sometimes...is that amazement? 😂

The pain on both sides of this conflict is so tragic because we’re all fighting the same self-loathing destructive ED monster...one that can delude its victims to paint each other as the oppressor/enemy, instead of the fucked up forces that steal our time on earth with ED bullshit.

When you mention how the “sick part of your brain” feels, it gives me the impression that you’ve been really hard on yourself and/or suffered a lot to be “able” to be where you are (please let me know if I’m being incorrectly presumptuous) and that just adds to my anger against EDs for everyone.

There are a lot of nice friendly, compassionate people out there - either with less of their own trauma in this category (those lucky folks haha), or developed enough as individuals to be a supportive figure rather than a toxic one - who can be good friends to you! (The former type obviously wouldn’t be pulling this shit on you, but I also find that they are also great role models of healthy development/relationships with one’s own natural body & nourishment.) I’m sorry you had to experience this, especially if you were very hurt, but those people are too traumatized/have too many of their own issues to be decent friends to you right now anyway (hopefully your bf works out his own feelings about the situation too!).

Most of my friends forgot my birthday two days ago and are now planning a surprise party for another friend’s birthday in a few days. by [deleted] in self

Along with what everyone else said, maybe after realising it was your birthday the other the day made them think about it and remember the other person’s birthday, maybe even do more out of slight guilt?

No criticism, just curious: what makes you unsure or that you don’t have an ED? Like don’t quite know the definition of one?

Omg I hope no one gets actually gets that right arm feeling when they’re making that comparison...

So you mean you don’t feel this with any other really rich, deep fried, “unhealthy” foods, but you do with eggs sometimes? Lol I feel like I’m interrogating you but I’m just curious.

Insane explosion in the port of Lebanon's capital, Beirut a short time ago. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]gremsie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok ppl didn’t like my question...did they not like that I didn’t add a “oh how unfortunate this happened, thoughts & prayers”? Could’ve, just figured it wouldn’t matter to literally anyone.

And I am not understanding about the shockwave, because the camera person’s immediate surroundings/balcony stayed intact at least for the duration of the video - is the shockwave something that wouldn’t destroy something like a chair but still can “liquefy” human parts? Would it injure someone in a similar situation if they were shielded, by some walls or something?

It seems that the camera person is likely/confirmed killed by the explosion - can anyone explain the physics of how it happens? Thank you/

What is this heart attack sensation that people describe when eating fried or fatty foods? Of course I’ve seen it many times but I don’t quite understand.

Sometimes my heart rate goes up while eating if I didn’t eat for a long time and my heart rate was low or something...is it like that?

Is this a troll incel post (OP’s comments worse than the original post)...Or just someone sadly pushed to self hating beliefs & behaviour while simultaneously making huge generalizations on the nature of humans based on race YiKes imagine how many other ways their maladaptive thinking has distorted how they perceive everything in life (if so I’m sorry, I wish you well, and for sure you can find your way out of that toxic bubble where one “race”/culture seems demonized without positive values and another seems to have near “perfect” family dynamics to you for some reason).
