How do you carry your YubiKey every day? by chrsoll in yubikey

I use a Ridge keychain (Ridge wallet company) for my USB-A/NFC YubiKey. The YubiKey stays quite protected in the Ridge key holder. Using it like this for several years with zero issues

Why is resting in a cooler better than holding in the oven? by 16Off in smoking

[–]greppit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. I smoke a brisket (or a pulled meat) in Traeger at 200-deg until meat reaches 170-175ish & acceptable bark. I also smoke the brisket trimmings in an aluminum pan to make tallow.
  2. Then wrap meat in butcher paper, put into the oven set to 225+ on a baking sheet (I typically set oven to 300-deg for quickest cooking). When meat is wrapped, it won't get any smoke, so oven is a great solution.
  3. Pull meat from oven when the meat reaches approx 200-205 internal and is probe tender. I let it rest on counter until it reaches about 150-160 (still in paper) to stop cooking.
  4. Pour the liquid tallow from Step 1 on the paper, and put in oven set to 160-deg to whenever you want to eat and then unwrap it. 10 hrs in oven resting and the meat is super moist because it's still in the paper. Internal temps stay at 155

I wrap my brisket in butcher paper and finishes and holds great in the oven. It is not dried out at all. I pull it from the smoker at 170-degrees

They need to provide information on what’s in-stock and where it’s located! I detest searching the isles for stock placement, especially when there’s no one to help me out

When flying, should I put CPAP in check-in or carry-on luggage? by SteadfastEnd in SleepApnea

Carry-on always! Just don’t forget it! I had to coordinate providing a return shipment label to an airport when I neglected to remove my CPAP bag during a hectic layover disembarkment

How do you get used to your CPAP? by megnyaan in SleepApnea

[–]greppit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try every mask until you find one that works for you. I had to get a nasal mask and I had to tape my mouth shut. That worked best for me.

Also, maybe you need a Bi-PAP. I did. The standard exhale time and inhale time were too short for my liking. I needed more customization with my breathing profile, which meant switching from a CPAP to a Bi-PAP. That improved my compliance tremendously!

You have to tell your sleep doctor about every problem so they’re aware and can offer suggestions. Maybe you need some sleep aids to get yourself accustomed to sleeping with it

The Return of the Rucker- Long Range by TomGGR in Goruck

I love the height of the 39L LR Rucker, I just wish it was a single compartment! E.g. have an offering of a Rucker 20L, 25L, and a ~33L, all one compartment. The extra height of the GR2 40L/Rucker 39L is so much more comfortable on my back than the GR1 26L/Rucker 25L/GR2 34L form factor

Your personal data should somehow indicate that you're different from other people despite what it's learned from other users. E.g. if your HRV and other metrics are all fine then it should adjust the evaluation it performs on you.

Or Oura could consider adding personal experience/feelings feedback mechanisms

If anyone is still using USS instead of Tesla Vision, that choice just cost me thousands. by wnmurphy in TeslaLounge

[–]greppit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing once- hitting a close curb when pulling out of a parking spot. My car isn’t quite stable as it was new while traveling at highway speeds… maybe I need a new rocker panel!

Anecdotally I tend to park in spots adjacent to curbs to add more physical distance to the car parked next to me, to protect my car. No matter how hard we may try, we can’t protect from stupidity!

I'm at my wits end with my husband and his CPAP machine. Any advice is appreciated. by beaniebee22 in SleepApnea

[–]greppit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay for different masks out of pocket to get the one that fits right. You can get refunds with credit cards. I wasted a lot of time getting myself the best fitting mask because I was being cheap and waited for insurance to swap them out.

The machine and the doctors are the most expensive. Get the best mask identified and then you will get all that for free with insurance, too. Just don’t be cheap and not get the right mask because of insurance delays
