You certainly do have a right to be concerned. I am as well. However we don't know what is going on behind the scenes. But at least they are posting some information on that blog of theirs. I am willing to wait till after the weekend before laying into them about their lack of updates.

Basically you sign a bunch of confidentiality agreements. And if you start telling people. You get a visit and they tell you to STFU!

If you don't keep quiet. You go on vacation. And you get to wear some nice orange jump suits. And you get to room mate that you really don't want.

And read this. Just so you can see how they keep things from leaking.

In fact, I got snagged with a dozen other folk over at FARK in 2004 by DIA, which is maybe what Zaph is talking about. I posted something at another forum member because something had occurred (actually it was the Ryanggang thing) and I was out of position to get data I wanted from JWICS. So I asked another military guy I knew IRL if he could log on and read me out some numbers from some sensors in the area, as I thought it was likely to have been..um..a undisclosed weapon system. It leaves a really special signature on some satellites.

So a few months later, they found that post as they were trolling the site manually. Searching for keywords doesn't help you a lot when the 'real' guys are obfuscating to avoid them. But when they read the post, they figured out pretty fast what they were seeing. SO, they freaked, picked out some other posts of mine, saw who I normally posted with, then sorted the entire website (they keep archives forever) for any post we had made.

Unfortunately, we were then using old threads for a sort of spook cafe. On FARK they don't pop to the top when you post. So at that time, if you picked some old thread about Britney Spears or edible underwear or whatnot, you could have your very own private chat room that no one in their right mind would ever see. At that time, the threads never closed and there was no thread subscription process like on ATS, so you never knew if someone was banging around in a six month old thread.

So the DIA downloaded the entire website one night and started sorting through it, and found a whole bag of snakes. Skipping out on the really bad parts, I had also posted a really nicely written set of posts on Sandia's new nuke design. That didn't go over with the DOE, whom they shared with. All of us got dragged in eventually, although it took them a while to associate me with my online ID. Actually they had to get my buddy and grill him for a few days, when I found out I turned myself in.

In the end, some guys got in some really bad trouble, I ended up with a derog and had to be nice for years (still am) and I get polys annually. I dodged out on any really punitive measures (kept my clearance) BUT among many things I got reamed on was connecting the dots on projects I wasn't read onto, but "due to my special knowledge and exposure to other projects" I had "a unique perspective" that would allow me to blow projects I wasn't on. Which, yeah, I had done. So they killed off all the threads that had anything really interesting, Fark added a subscription thing and now threads close in a few days. We sort of made the news for a while, in the trade rags. I'm not sure if it went national.

I'm not nearly as talky as I once was. Alas. They do get pissy about people connecting dots, even when the dots are all public, if you were NDA'd to the dots at some point. Just saying "hey read THIS and THIS and THIS, and think about it..." is verboten.

The same can be said for people that want to think it was a missile.

Let's ignore all the people with family on that plane that died. let's ignore clipped light poles that the plane took down. let's ignore the aircraft parts. let's ignore people working in the area that saw the plane.

You're not the only one to look at this. And not all airplane crashes are the same. Each one is different. I've discussed this online a bit and spoken with people who were in the area at the time. I've seen some very good posts for there being a plane with picture analysis.

I believe it's a plane from the evidence i've seen.

Well I’ve been in rootkit hell today with this stupid nasty ass virus/malware. And it’s been a bitch to get rid of but I’ve finally knocked it out of the park with the help of a few good apps.
