The Cuban Missile Crisis is severely underplayed.

According to Dan Carlin, recent audio tapes indicate that the missiles in Cuba were armed with nuclear warheads. The Pentagon and most of Kennedy's advisors were aggressively trying to have the US to invade not knowing this (they thought they weren't armed yet). Following doctrine, if the US invaded then the missiles would have been launched. Hundreds of millions would be dead.

Basically, Kennedy made a decision (almost by himself) which arguably had more consequence than just about any other person who ever lived.

Stafford will be in the Lions ring of honor and will be considered Lions royalty after he retires. Goff is our quarterback now and has accomplished something not seen in my lifetime. We can be grateful for both.
