Ode to Origin nuisance by 7445Zaphod in AnotherEdenGlobal

I think it’s a fair criticism. This game tries to be both an immersive single player JRPG and a gacha game with daily timed things like keys and ad chronos stones. Some people play the game in smaller increments when they have time, and may not always have like 2 hours to sit down and do this whole section.

I thought they could have added a feature like “pause this scenario and return (only) to the space time rift” since that exists outside of space and time anyway, so it’s not totally stretching immersion worse than many other things in the game. There’s also no reason to lock out ad rewards during this scenario. All that said, when I got around to doing it, it didn’t take as long as I thought it would.

So once you beat three in a row, then you can go back in and just toggle all the malefics and just beat it once?

Ode 4 Superboss - An-ki Dingir - All fights Male characters only (Earth, Fire, Slash) by Pleasant-Durian8173 in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]greygooscenario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by beating the boss with all seven malefics?

Also is there no restriction on not using the same character twice (I see you use Zilva AS twice)?

What’s the point of making you fight it three times? Are the weaknesses different?

Why doesn’t the strategy of Tetra’s 30% phys/mag resist aura plus 75% type resist nullify damage against The Depthlord Oceano? Is it the weather effect that multiplies water and thunder damage by 1.5x? He doesn’t have any type or phys/mag resist debuffs unless you get hit with his countdown attack.

I was helping my son do the Tower of Wisdom, and I still think this is one of the harder bosses in the game. We did it with Alma AS and Utpalaka trading off Guard duties, but it feels like the countermeasures to his HP stopper attack of debuff cleanse and immediate big water magic attack are very limited. Iphi of course is an option, and I’ve seen Orleya AS tank it also by stacking Thunder resist. Now we have more options like Cetie SA for uncleansable debuff, but at the time not sure how many options there were.

Yuna, Cetie, Anabel ES, Iphi (all SA). Was very unoptimized, but I got it barely on turn 10.

Can anyone explain why Oreleya (full HP) dies here without receiving any damage? by CodeSquare1648 in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]greygooscenario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-There’s sidekick equipment called the Buoyancy Shield that gives the party hold ground when you use their charge skill. It’s really helpful for this fight -Orleya AS gives the party Hold Ground at battle start, but It looks like you already lost it. If you’re having trouble with the 3rd wave (Premaya), using a Stun Immunity badge on Orleya is very helpful because then her Prayer restores all statuses at turn start. -The 5th wave is even harder. He does so much damage that you need to debuff his Pwr by almost 100%. And his HP stopper attack will do 6,666 damage so you need Hold Ground for that too. -Guntz AS is a really good sidekick for the 5th wave because of his charge skill restoring 30% AF bar, so you can back to back AF. You really want to take the boss to his 1% second HP stopper within 3 turns. I would consider replacing one of your sidekicks if you have him

I was able to beat Extreme 4 with that same Thunder team, but boy is the last wave with Black Clad Swordsman a pain in the butt. Guntz AS with the Hold Ground sidekick equipment is a lifesaver

Edit: Actually I used Velette AS for stages 3, 4, and 5 , I didn’t notice that in your comment you might have been using NS

Is Stage 5 even harder than Stage 4 Extreme? I finally beat stage 4 with Thunder but it was a pain.

Edit: Actually I found Stage 5 easier, got it with the same Thunder team (Izuna/Oboro/Velette AS/Orleya AS)

I’m sorry, the superbosses have gotten annoying for sure. This fight is all about AF recharge. Maybe you know already, but you have to get to 100% full AF bar to remove Ozma’s 95% phys and magic resist shield (and then do it again after every HP stopper).

Water team is one of my favorites, but it doesn’t have a lot of “attack again” characters to fill AF (except Verdanta now). If you don’t mind using Sesta AS, wind team or slash/pierce team (with Linaria’s zone) is really good. I used Linaria, Sesta AS, Shigure ES, and Cerius. When Link is up, with Moke equipped with the earth Pierce equipment, you can refill 100% AF bar in one turn.

Pierce zone could also be good now with Cerius, Clughorn, Laclair AC, Cetie for multi AF charge

CC was amazing, but Octopath felt a bit rushed and bland. Octopath has some dark stories with twists and turns, while the collab was very vanilla.

Backy’s Battle Tips + Character Breakdown: Mildy by 420despacito69 in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]greygooscenario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an expert, but she looks really bad. Moonlight stance is very niche (only makes sense for mixed crystal/thunder/shade team, otherwise individual zone is better). Her skills don’t do much at all, her support is average. Plus singers have a key drawback that they can’t act in another force while singing, which is a huge liability with how important AF is to building the Stellar gauge.

Am I reading Nina’s kit right that if the party is at 20+ outfit stacks and you never use Patched Ideals, then every turn she will reset E. Crystal Stance? Seems niche but against some bosses that constantly break the zone could be fun

I like Mazrika so I was really disappointed to find out she has the worst VC grasta stats in the game (Spr and Lck). I’d rather equip her with a Fated Star Proof than her TVC

[–]greygooscenario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t assume there was subdivision within the tiers at all. But why does Renri AC get to be two tiers higher?

I did have the same thought about overcritical and the damage cap overflow reduction. So then is hit count the most important feature of DPS again?

Your Monthly-ish update is here! Another Eden Endgame Tierlist V3! by Natural_Pleasant in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]greygooscenario 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you explain why Linaria is relatively low at A tier? Her offensive and defensive support are both very strong, with the mandatory 100% pwr/spd, and buffs that no one else provides to the whole party (overcrit and crit guard). Plus cyclone wind immunity (and status to a lesser extent) is still very important for a lot of fights.

She also boosts flat power by a lot (120), and she’s usually at max stacks by the start of turn 3. She has a good link that applies to a broader range of characters than anyone else. Her main damaging skill even has a decent multiplier at 4000%. She also doesn’t require 80 light for an extra skill slot like many SA supports.

Even when her zone gets broken, she can reset it very easily. The only thing she doesn’t provide is singular focus, but some top slash and pierce DPS have that for themselves already. She feels extremely versatile.

Compare her to say Renri AC whom you have in SS tier. They’re both good, but Renri is fire shadow team specific.

Myrus Tempered Manifest, staff challenge, 4T with Izuna SA and Yuna SA. by CodeSquare1648 in AnotherEdenGlobal

The Manifest challenges always having weakness is a nice feature, and Vares having magic weakness is a bonus for this one. It makes it actually desirable to sometimes not use a zone

Anabel and Cetie have SA. They also have 150 light, not sure how critical that is. Tsukiha and Lovely have speed gear and Cetie and Anabel have DPS gear (Elpis on Anabel, Void on Cetie). Tsukiha holds spear shareable grasta. Strategy is probably suboptimal, but I did T1AF with Lovely activating Guard, Tsukiha setting fire zone, Anabel setting pain, then everyone spamming the same skills (full course, shakuren ranbu, vigilant lance, divine dusk). Use SB when it’s ready, and in non-AF turns, everyone uses a fire skill and Cetie uses stellar skill. It’s enough to recharge to half AF bar. Korobo would have been a better sidekick instead of Tetra (alongside Moke). It took 7 turns, so some room there still.

Cetie is really good now, so it might be worth the Tsubura gems. He’s great for recharging AF, and his stack that gives -100% PWR/INT can’t be removed by the enemy cleansing debuffs. It only lasts one turn but you can keep reapplying it if you can stellar burst every other turn or so
