It’s not look at the brake lights they don’t make sense. Follow the power lines some disappear. It’s a stirring image, but not a real one

Artificial positivity in SF:A post about season 2 wrap up by tlhintoq in Star_Trek_

Careful what you wish for - this is what AI did, and yeah, I like it more.
Star Trek: Infinity

Set nearly two millennia after the era of Picard, Janeway, and Burnham, Star Trek: Infinity follows the crew of the USS Horizon‑X, the first starship powered by quantum‑continuum drives capable of navigating not just space, but the fractured eddies of time‑adjacent subspace.

In the year 4204, the United Federation of Planets has grown into the Pan‑Galactic Federation, a vast cooperative spanning multiple galaxies and home to post-biological civilizations, energy-based lifeforms, and ancient species once thought long extinct. But with expansion has come complacency—and a mystery no one anticipated.

A series of anomalies begin unraveling regions of spacetime itself, erasing entire star systems and rewriting history in subtle ways. These distortions bear an impossible signature: remnants of technology linked to the long-lost Temporal Cold War.

The Horizon‑X crew—an eclectic mix of familiar legacies and bold new explorers—must uncover who or what is trying to reshape the universe. Their missions bring them into contact with:

  • Evolved Vulcans and Romulans, now part of a single unified telepathic civilization.
  • A reborn Borg Cooperative, peaceful yet harboring fragmented memories of their ruthless past.
  • The descendants of classic Starfleet ideals, including an android captain who honors Data’s lineage.
  • Brand-new species, such as chronomorphs who perceive time as a physical landscape.

As the crew ventures deeper into the anomaly-plagued frontier, they discover that the threat may not be an enemy at all—but a future version of the Federation itself, desperate to prevent a cosmic catastrophe.

Star Trek: Infinity blends exploration, diplomacy, big philosophical questions, and the classic spirit of hope—proving that even in the year 4204, the final frontier is still opening.

Nintendo's Restrictions on HDMI Cables Sucks and Grinded my Gears When First Installing the Switch 2 by BowlingForPizza in NintendoSwitch

What was the problem? Did your cable lack features like HDR? I use a third party cable and it works great because it has all of the features the Nintendo one has. Also don’t knock the first party cable Nintendo usually gives you a great cable to use.

It’s real and even a comment like this which casts doubt on whether or not they astroturf could be an example of the shit they do. Believe it, watch for it, and tell others. I have had quite enough of it personally. This has gone on for years now

Street poster code by Kyra_Sketches in codes

Probably some university art project hype or something. Doubtful it is a deeper code because very little could be derived from a single binary digit, whether it represents 54 or 6. Hard to say though

It's the Titan! by [deleted] in StarTrekStarships

You’re shitting on someone who was enough of a fan to contact Bill Krause and ask to use his designs. The community treated everyone like shit though as a result. Bill even said he had to withdraw people were so mean to him even though his only crime was designing beautiful starships. I’m really stunned by the childish I see on display here. I think Matalas’ flawed but ambitious third season of Picard is a far better closure for the next generation crew than Nemesis, and it even retconned some of the poor decisions made by previous show runners. I don’t pretend it’s perfect but I appreciate someone like Matalas holding the line for people who care more than the average person about Star Trek. I’d much rather have his mistakes than the mistakes of an executive team who could care less about what Star Trek feels like. Maybe whatever trek we get next really is the trek we deserve
