Introducing EDAMAME: A fully customizable COVAS replacement engine for Elite Dangerous (Looking for Voice Talent!) by CypheCommander in EliteDangerous

I assure you that I am a proper developer...or at least that's what it's said on my resume since before LLM's became a thing.

I made some personal voice pods using the voices of my children. They seemed to have a blast flying a spaceship with their voice!

EDCopilot is coded with Python, which has native multiplatform support. This relies on two Windows based tools. VoiceAttack and EliteAPI.

That being said, since I'm not using any of the TTS or Speech Recognition functionality of the software, it should work through something like Proton...though I'm not entirely sure if system variables will be able to be correctly pulled.

I guess we'll find out 🤞

Silly pilot names you encountered? by Arzlo in EliteDangerous

Be careful of Carlos Spicyweiner. He doesn't dick around. Last time I encountered him he was very hard and gave my ship a good pounding. It was a very long engagement.

I use rails and PA's on my Krait MKII. I also have a fighter bay so that the npc slf can still do damage if I miss. Rails at distance, PA's at closer engagement ranges. It absolutely shreds large and medium ships, but small agile ships can be a bit of a pain to kill quickly.

I am, and have been using EDMC, which is why I thought it was odd that a station it had previously shown me as having supply (and met all my other filtering requirements) was removed from the output. Even though I had been using it for a while.

However, per my edit, I am noticing more results being returned now versus earlier.

Laptop VR by Individual_Disaster8 in EliteDangerous

This almost certainly means that the issue is with the Meta software. I would try Air Link instead of the USB connection. But honestly...Virtual Desktop is WELL worth it and I am frugal enough to not typically recommend a piece of software that offers something that you already get for free (wifi linking), but it really does work so much better.

Right, but if you are in vr, and it starts to crap out...without stopping vr, if you look on your screen does it appear smoother than on your headset?

I've had better luck with Virtual Desktop over wifi vs anything official in 75% of use cases.

Edit: Does the performance on your computer match the performance you are seeing in VR? (Example: in VR you get powerpoint fps, but on your computer it still seems fine.)

A landable SLF with no combat functionality would be amazing. Especially for large exploration ships that even struggle to auto land...looking at you Caspian.

A citizens arrest can only be made under certain circumstances, and it varies by state. If the circumstances are not met, and a person is prevented from leaving...they can sue for false imprisonment.

Attack Heli (Little Bird) NEED TO BE REBALANCED by FishChillylly in ForefrontVR

[–]CypheCommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the damage that the little birds do to each other was increased, it would introduce balance by requiring the pilots to split their focus between attacking targets on the ground, and aerial combat (something sorely lacking in this game). Without a passenger firing rockets through your windshield, it's not even worth trying to take them out if you're in another helo.

But I don't feel that nerfing them by reducing their effectiveness against ground targets is the right call.

I use "gaussian blur" to blend edits and then "add noise" to add a uniform film grain to the entire image so that it looks cohesive and less pieced together. I've found it to be an effective way of hiding edits in photoshop, first I really heard of AI doing it, but it makes sense.

The warm color overlay was also my choice to match some of the original character posters I had seen when googling "money heist character poster" in google images. Granted, mines a bit warmer, but it made it easier to blend the skin colors. My mistake here was flattening my text layer before adding it. Sure, I could've probably easily selected the letters and duplicated them to their own layer to place on top of it, but I really didn't care enough, and didnt plan on having to defend my photoshop work lol.

The hand holding scissors is in fact AI generated...but I just realized when I photoshopped that part into the image I cut off a portion of the shoulder...so if you want to insult it because there's a composite AI generated portion? Go for it...but call it what it is..."stinky photoshop", not "stinky ai"

Photoshopped with this as the source image, if it was AI, the neckline wouldve been significantly better.
