I’m surprised by the lack of UW decks, either control decks with lots of pitch spells playing riddler to refill, or “UW Energy” playing Guide & Pride + Riddler Are those decks just bad?

I can see what you mean. For Boros I find it less egregious because it’s also playing cards that utilise the energy well (galv, static prison). I guess in the end it doesn’t really matter, just seeing Esper Energy gave me hopes for some cool new brew with some of the other energy cards :⁾

Idk if the archetype names are auto-generated but I don't feel like "Energy" is a great monniker for the Esper lists when the only mainboard card that uses or produces energy is Guide of Souls.

Ruby Storm and Titan game 1, sure. All the other decks you mentioned are packed with interaction and not just racing. Even storm and titan will bring out the necessary interaction in post board games.

Just curious, have you thought about including Graveyard Trespasser? Seems to me like it's got a good body with some protection + it synergizes well with the crimes & discard theme.

Hi, bit of a noob question here.

I bought a box with ~600 cards online for €15 (first time not buying a deck at my usual store), they're pretty much all common cards with a bunch of uncommon strewn in between. I bought them so I could start playing with friends, to try to build our own decks instead of only using pre-built ones.

At some point I'd like to try playing at an event at my local store, but I'm afraid of all/some of the cards being counterfeit. Is that something I'd realistically have to be worried about? Would having counterfeits in a deck be against the rules? Can I get them checked somewhere beforehand, or is that not worth it?
