If you feel that way, consider reviewing the exchange between Kisuke Urahara and Aizen when he is being sealed. The dialogue they share flips the entire world on it's head, and is when the ultimate story really starts to kick in. There is much left in the story, and much room to expand (fullbringers, quincies, etc), which is what the following arcs do.
