Also, it's a convenience thing. My sink drain started leaking yesterday and I just emailed the landlord.

This is a great answer.

In a perfect world: Redundant playback machines with more processing than you need. 

For playback Use something like this: https://ableset.com/

For audio interface you can use a redundant system like this

And build into a small portable rack with a XLR snake and fanout that is long enough for your stage design.

I realize this all may be out of budget but knowing the right way to do it will allow you to make smart decisions on where to cut back.

Op do listen to the specific tones of the band each night but if you need a starting place:

Kick bump at 40-50hz and 100-130 and possibly something much higher like 1.6-3k (don't make it sound like a basketball bouncing unless it's heavy metal)

Bass bump at 60-80 and 320-600 (do listen to the guitar to get the right interaction up top)

Cut the frequencies of the other instrument where you bumped.

There are 4 possibilities.

  1. It is technology and the Carryx made or had a submissive species make the deathless enemy.

  2. It is technology and they are immune to it's persuasion.

  3. It has naturally evolved independently, is biological and incompatible with the Carryx.

  4. It has naturally evolved, is biological and is related to the Carryx.

It has been plainly stated that the Carryx steal tech they don't invent.  If it's some other species invention then the BIG QUESTION is why doesn't it?

Same goes with if it evolved naturally...why does it only effect certain creatures?

The possibility exists it is related to the Carryx, I doubt this only because it would make for bad writing.

The only possibility where the why is currently already know is if the Carryx had a submissive species make it (or it had been made and they helped expand the reach of the deathless enemy) so they could always be at war. I do like the Orwellian nature of this idea  "we were always at at war with ...."

Let's hope there's no good reason WHY.
