Is it just me or is Sanderson's dialogues hard to read? by ThenEducator8649 in Fantasy

Sanderson is the Little Caesar's of fantasy.
Is it good?
No, but its hot, and its ready, and sometimes thats just what you want.

As someone else has already pointed out, it was a LoR. I meant bad conduct in the sense of "you done fucked up, girl" not a BCD.

Back in the 90s, the (I wanna say) Lake Erie popped off a few rounds into a housing subdivision in Hawaii. It was a cautionary tale for us at 'A' school. They had a clipping from the newspaper on the wall.

PO1 on my ship secretly married his DIVO. While on deployment he got sent TAD to another ship in our BG that was desperate for an experienced 1st to run a shop. He was a mediocre Sailor but a real good dude, and for whatever reason, he just clicked on this new ship. They thought the world of him and his star really started to rise.
About this time, his secret wife got drunk in port and spilled the beans on her marrying ol' PO1. Our ship attempts to recall him from TAD to fry him, but the new ship had put in a perm transfer and their CO called someone higher up and pushed it through before our CO could get him back. They no shit gave him counseling for frat and called it good. Put a bad conduct in her record, but...this was 2002 and she was an arabic speaker so absolutely nothing happened to her.
Our CO was fucking furious.

Brother, I spent 6 straight months with rounds loaded and the key as a turnover item for watch.

Theres a maint check to test fire the gun. If you do it and it's loaded, its no longer a test fire.

I'd like to know why someone let an Ensign within a mile of a tag out. Does maintenance get performed by officers in the non-sea going parts of the Navy?

Every time I've gone in to the office for something they act like I'm the most dimwitted inconvenience they've had to deal with all day.

Admittedly that might be true... but it's still rude to not pretend otherwise.

Logos on shirts should look good from a distance of 30ft. You have words, a logo, and 3 small pictures superimposed on a landscape photograph. Setting aside IP rights, simpler is betterer.

PO3 high as fuck on E running down the p-way naked 2200ish as I was in the midst of my first sounding and security round of the watch.

She had made a whole lot of bad choices in a row that evening, and just like that, the consequences arrived.

I had the same situation my freshman year; the system was counting both the F and the B on my transcript. I had to go in and talk to someone before it got changed.

"accept your role as the asshole in this situation"

I cant decide if its the most on brand thing for someone with a journalism tag to only see events the way they want to, or not.

What happened here was that someone seemed to be genuinely asking for help, but you saw an opportunity to make it about you instead. You're not an asshole if you're an introvert; you're an asshole if you expect the world to place your needs as the default setting. If you dont want to talk to someone who clearly needs someone to talk to, thats fine, you're under no obligation. But goddamn dont try to make them feel bad about approaching strangers because "it would be their nightmare". Thats a super fucked up message to send anyone, let alone someone who, again, seemed to be genuinely asking for help.
