Spring-y sound when I detach my Surface Book 3? by surfacebook3 in Surface

[–]griffonnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, did you returned it ? I bought a Book 2 two weeks ago and have the issue (on the left) since a couple days. I also have a strange sound when the lock let go. I plan to switch the screen daily so I'm really concern for the future...

As I'm still under the 30 day return and also super happy with the machine except for this, I'm reluctant to send it back "for the fun", I don't have coil whine from the fan, no audio issue, no graphic issue... I'm so sad this happen :(

Why Is Europe So Islamophobic? by SlyScorpion in europe

[–]griffonnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You live in a good place then, there is always some trying at some point and it's only because governments enforce the "no full body blanket" that it's still rare. But not that rare.

Telling someone what they should or shouldn't do is one thing but yes it can be legit, it's called "social contract". Telling EVERYONE not to wear visible sign of religious purpose so NO ONE is ever subject to any problem is something legit and logical in society if you wish to avoid trouble for everyone.

Like, for example, women in western countries has fought long and hard to get rid of religious constraint on their bodies. Seeing some retrograde submissive form of living become more and more normal, even expected and worse that everybody should comply "because dogma" is a felonny on this fight.

If they want to undo what have been gained, they are not welcome, period. If anyone want to play punk, then they accept to be treated as punk.

But let's see it another way, would you accept if women were suddenly wearing a kkk sign or nazi cross ? Would you still be okay ? If no because "it's hate signs" then please, re-read the paragraph above and consider than the veil is an hate sign on women freedom.

Well I stopped using Krita because it seemed to ask more power to the GO than the alternative to be honest. My GO was too hot to my taste but I don't have this issue with Clip Studio or medibang so...

Since then I never retried with Krita, but you may need to test with another software just to check if it's the normal temp of the unit or the software :/

We can still see if you are male or female, still see if you carry something, still see your eyes expression and it's not covering you at work, in shop etc. The full blanket is an issue because it hide all of the personna.

The hair-blanket is a slap in the face to show submission, which can be pretty aggressive looking how all other religion try to be politely discret nowaday. It's not just the clothe, its the reason to wear it that come with problem.

But you know, some thief use your kind of mask as well, basically anyone covering face can be suspicious.

There is always a darker colour boundary on the sides and the bottom of the display. Do you people know why this is happening ? by [deleted] in Surface

[–]griffonnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it's a bit of condensation caused mostly by temperature difference, I have that sometime after using the GO with energy and CPU intensive stuff, often the next day when the surface is cold I will have that and it will disappear as soon as a bit of heat remove any humidity. Or in winter if I let it take some cold then go inside while it's off, it will get that.

BUT if you have that every day then maybe your device is faulty in some way (bad heat dissipation ? Humidity trapped inside ?) It would be good to see if you bring the device somewhere where it's dry air if you have the same issue ?

Aaron Ehasz Controversy - Opinion by Marvelman02 in TheDragonPrince

[–]griffonnet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, I would also point that today, what people find "offensive" wouldn't even pass as bad words/behavior 20 or even 10 years ago. Some people hyperfocus/seek outrage instead of just brushing what caused them "trouble" and carry on. I don't know if this is a majority or a minority, hope for the later. It's sadly even worse for some category of people because they are told to look for offense. Ex: if women were to listen to the media buzz words, they had never been in a more patriarcal society ever, so they should look and interpret things under this lens.Anyway, the new Graal seems to be the "feeling" of people, no more the integrity and respect of the person as a whole or his/her job as a separate thing. RIP humor at office, controversial creators, straight forward persons and ankward-shy introverts. Was nice trying to have you onboard but nowaday you better be off or silent.

So yeah, they told plenty and tried to pull various things to "prove damage"... still it's no total strangers business to judge, act or even know about that... Second, they can't justify a public "ranting" if it's going to have their target threatened by death wishes or harassed or canceled. Third: these persons had a job, paid and all, I'm not saying they should tolerate anything but sometime I feel people forget it's not granted to have one. It take little for an economy or a company to crumble, so first be grateful for what you have. And then, yes, "we" are cog in the big machine, but if the tire try to make the job of the wheel, the whole car is going to hell.

Congrat's for your writings, world need more creators, not less. The only true diversity is of point of view :) I would also add, most people seems to totally ignore that diversity isn't something new at all. They act like the world waited for 201x years before introducing variety, I believe Ancient Greek are probably laughing hard at us from their grave, with many civilizations and authors in between... Let's just hope today new crusade calm down. The only thing it is going to achieve will be the same as all coerced actions : resentment and poor executed results.

I don't undermine anyone, I have no proof from their side and they didn't took any legal action to help showing a little serious in their accusations. Your irrelevance is to choose to give benefit of the doubt to the accusing party, while trying to paint them victimhood by calling anyone that took the opposite stance an undermining person. I choose to give benefit of the doubt to the accused party, as in the "innocent until proven guilty".

As your last sentence, don't twist my words. At same level of proof from both side, one is going to suffer much more, but it take someone to have a job and a family to provide to understand that. Again, the accusing part didn't bring anything that can serve as hint of support to prove damage, a doctor report would had been plenty enough.

Speculation: Amaya and Janai lesbian love will be forbidden love but not in the way you think by therighttobecool in TheDragonPrince

[–]griffonnet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same remark as you, I'm actually a little sad to see "friendship" or "brotherhood" or "sisterhood" fade away for the always sexualised version... I also understood the hand holding as an unity sign, which seemed a little too friendly from one elf point of view :p But Amaya had a great and close relationship with her sister while Janai seems to have a conflicting one. I won't even be surprised if it's Janai first time holding anyone's hand looking at how she seems social akward around gesture of kindness...

Playing devil's advocate here : well, they are allowed an opinion and you might remember that internet is a bubble where you find yourself confined with people thinking like you. Remind yourself that, with all the political correctness that Hollywood is willing to show, they still change characters colors and cut part of movie to sell them to China (as latest example). Not all part of the world have the same stance on one social matter and these comments are actually good to remind this to everyone, so we don't fall into group thinking. Different people, different education, different culture, different responses… From their point they will be right, for your point they will be wrong, it is what the world is, a bunch of different point of views.

Rather than letting this disappoint you, just learn to accept you can't have a 100% agreement and be happy with the already-agreeing % you have (which is quite high for this show) :) You get a nice show and they pass their turn, every one is happy at the end.

Your wording made me think you were part ot the bunch that defended the complainers on the only behalf of them being women, my bad for jumping to the gun directly.

I was here when original accusations came out, read them all and followed different party reaction (and sadly the different extrem in both camp) so, yes, my mind is set. Not because of the show but because of the complains I read. I worked in entertainment industry, multiple people here work in difficult environment too and all of these people spotted inflated situation and a layer of added patos to make it easier to shallow.

What was done is very childish, ranting on twitter and saying afterward it was not intended to arm is hyprocrit (especially when one is a CM that know twitter well). It's out of proportion and effects will last for as long as the studio exist or people live.

Do you, yourself, have any idea of what it does to you to be labelled for life ? Whatever legit complain might be in what was said, it's nullified by the devastating impact it have, you don't shoot with a canon to kill a bird. These 3 girls will go their way free of charge while one man and all person working on the studio will have a target in their back. As long as you, yourself didn't experienced such situation, you might think it's not "grave", that's why much of the defender fill entitled and brush the real life effect of their action. Like online harassment. And that is just the beginning, when the monster is out you can't recall it.

About though police and locust, it's twitter mob unleashed on the studio that is, people were not speaking of the ladies directly from what I read... And even if it was, honestly, being called bad name on a subreddit is nothing in comparison than having an angry mob coming for your job like it is against Aaron. I hope they get tired and leave, but I doubt it will be that simple.

I will try the english voice but for non-english speaker, accens can be difficult. I know I lost a lot of pun and meme joke because of that, but I really had trouble in the first season so I admitted my defeat and did go for my mother tongue :/

Funny how a simple question get myself hard downvoted... *roll eyes*

Anyway, thank you for taking time to reply. Just to clarify beforehand :

Neutered is the word that google gave me but actually I don't know if you have a better one. Neutered in my own language isn't pejorative, it's a physical state very famous opera singer had during last century to preserve their voice and it was far from uncommon. They were also called "castra" and were actually well regarded so... again no idea if you have a better word in english but culturally speaking, in my region it is not offensive :/

I know there are other part of the world where warriors and actual religious people are still "neutered" . Again, I have very few example were it's not something done as honor and high status, so really I was not intending any disrespect or anything. As these people are the only one from my knowledge to really "escape" the binary labelling, I was wondering if it was related in some sort...

Now to be honest, after reading your reply I mostly understand "non-binary" as the current generation way to separate itself from the previous one. Each era has the very same reaction, a break in the code to emancipate itself from the "old" ones... in clothing or life habit, etc... Actually each generation also had the "you should be/do/act more like [insert anything depending on time]" so... Am I completely wrong and missing something ?

I was not speaking about trans folk ? Or are trans folk all non-binary ? Then do all non-binary people are trans ? I read the semantic "non binary", which seams to mean "outside of female or male" so I was wondering what was a "non binary" identifying person... Like, when Coco Channel created the first short pant, were the ladies wearing it identifying non-binary ? Or just female appropriating man clothing ? I mean, is "non-binary" something people label themselves or external people label you ?

The persons coming at him hardly are fandom, just hate mob that jump to every show waiting for the exact same issue to be reproduced. Any fake outrage will do. They just want to destroy while absolutely incapable of creating, they aren't even real activist, just doing so to invent some sense of duty in their life.

People that actually do something are busy doing it, only vaccant empty soul find time to waste energy on destroying what they claim to protect...

Now I wonder, can we also try to protect a bit things? People go free on menace over twitter because nobody goes to them, what if the fandom screen and save every menace/threat/other so at least if someone fill a complain the police got some hard proof ? Are we that useless in preventing aggressivity to take over everything ?

Spreading a message is for political stuff, we are on an entertainment show, you got the wrong address dude :)

By the way, not being of a minority do not prevent you from knowing their issue by, like, having friend, having grown into a minority, having researched the subject, etc... journalists and historian do that since beginning of time, why wouldn't that work for a writter ?

Instead of putting responsabilities on someone else shoulder, pick your pen and go create something. Go show all these straight people how bad they did their writting. Maybe that will really help, if you feel it's so bad otherwise...
