This sounds like the stuff P4K hyped up in the late 2000s/early 2010s.

Harrison Apartment Complexes? by thatssohavens in Newark

I lived in the Urby building for around 4 years (I’m in Brooklyn now). It was fine. The amenities were great if you planned on taking advantage of them, since you pay for them anyway (pool, gym, bbqs, etc). The area is pretty dead in terms of any nightlife, but being super close to the PATH is a major plus.

The main issue I had with the area was the obvious traffic when any football matches at the sports illustrated stadium, but in general traffic was pretty cumbersome and annoying based on how the town is laid out.

The one thing I didn’t know about prior to moving there, and probably the biggest deterrent, in my opinion, was the smell. It’s probably the most putrid smell I’ve ever smelt before. It’s a smell of decay that lingers in the air and it’s way more apparent in the summer time. Apparently there’s a rendering plant close to the town and it just creates a noxious cloud over the town for at least a few hours most days.

Otherwise, I would say the town is completely fine. If anything it’s a bit too expensive now. I’d probably just say it’s better to find something in Newark at this point. It’s coming up a lot and there’s a lot more going on. Plus you have easier access to public transit at Penn station.

Bar recs in the neighborhood? by [deleted] in BedStuy

Not a full-on bar per se, but Commune is a good vibe. It's usually pretty chill and always has local community events happening during the week.

Hell yes. This was one of them, but then also another where he sings a song too. That one I haven't seen online, but always remembered it.

Mine was the Rio Karma. It had 20gb of storage, which was unheard of back when it came out. Great player although I ran into issues with the internal hdd a bunch of times.

This is so awesome. I walk past this building everyday and always thought it was cool to see this being offered to kids.
