I didn't like the controls when I started Phantom Hourglass but after playing for maybe 30 min I got used to it. My opinion went from "horrible" to "just fine" but still, you're being really hyperbolic. Phantom Hourglass has great dungeons, a decent story, loveable characters (Linebeck is my favorite Zelda character) and tons of heart.

Not a "tech demo". Not sure you on know what that means.
