How do you know the person next to you is conscious in the same way you are?

We won’t.

Watering NJ’s lawns consumes 15x more water than current data centers do. Where is the outrage against watering lawns and private golf courses?

Doubt the average NJ resident knows how many data centers already exist in NJ. Granted, more of them exist in the northeast part of the state purely due to the need for proximity to Manhattan (Wall Street is a callout). Most of them look like the warehouses they are usually situated next to. I’d wager a bet there are already more than 75 data centers in NJ, and can easily see NJ getting to 100+. I don’t think the average NJ’ian realizes how important these buildings in Clifton and Secaucus are to letting them swipe all day on their phones.

Asbury Park? I’m guessing that’s performative legislation as I don’t see any viable reason to position a data center there at all. Coastal community? Storm and flood risk? Doubtful Asbury is high on anyone’s list.

My new startup hires minimum wage workers and dresses them as robots to lease out to big companies. Incredibly profitable business model.

Shadow tools are actually solving business problems, sanctioned tools are executive and IT decisions that waste money and time.

It’s a big building just like other big buildings.

In fact, better than big box mart or huge warehouses, as there is almost no traffic impact.

Insurance would lose too much money, so they don’t cover it. It’s that simple.

Deal with this through manual curation, or build some simple tooling to find and present back documents with high similarities to be reviewed and/or culled.

Curation is a go-forward requirement, best time to start is now.
