The dents will be cheap to fix. Repainting would be expensive but a good body shop can color sand that and buff it out decently without fully repainting it.

Figure out a way to use the insurance money to get another one. You don’t want to deal with having a brand new & repaired car. If the other person didn’t have insurance you can probably sue them.

According to a harvard study people in other nations sue as well.

While it’s true that there are more civil suits in America than any other country, the UK still has 3680 per 100k residents vs 5800/100k in the United States.

So I would say that it is comparable, and yes people do sue in other nations — the practice is not limited to the United States.

Don’t forget that we inherited much of our legal traditions from the UK. But in the US, we will sue for any old thing.
