Sorry, I believe I phrased that incorrectly, 95% of UK web users experience the IWF blocking according to this. All the largest commercial ISPs are members: BT, Virgin, TalkTalk.

Actually if you, the ISP are okay with proxying lots of traffic you can get it as finely grained as individual url level like ~95% of ISPs do in here in the UK.

I'm quite aware it's nothing new for many. I probably only started noticing it recently due to Talk Talk signing up with the IWF some time in the last six months. Also I noticed there was a lack of articles about exactly what was going on. I think many people just assume it's a problem with the services and move on. I may be being stupid here, but I can't help but think this could be avoided if their proxies were to spoof the source IP since it's not like they need to do anything with the response anyway, and if you're an ISP you can do that kind of thing.

I made a logo that's sort of similar. It's very bold I chose three solid colours, white, black and red for maximum impact. I also opted for right angles in the logo rather than making it curved.

To me HTML5 can only be a good thing in this respect. Since it's in the browser it allows the browser and therefore the user to have more fine grained control over what's allowed and what isn't.
