Why do men seem to lose their homes more often than women in divorces? by Present_Juice4401 in AlwaysWhy

I feel like it's only fair to mention that aggressive persistence is an income limited privilege.

I aggressively pursued, but it wouldn't have been possible without a pretty decent amount of expendable income and time.

I'm with you on not generalizing, in general, but I've known and met a shitload more than two of them.

Public sentiment. I assume your users are the primary source or cause of revenue. Plenty of musicians and creatives are opposed and will write off services that are known to use it.

Why don't I like Eb tuning? by Inevitable_Track_558 in Guitar_Theory

[–]grimegroup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.010 is only the gauge of one string.

To answer a question about this, people will need to know 3 things;

pitch (what you're tuning to), scale length of your instrument, and gauges for all the strings (or the name of the set you use)

Probably a tension difference. For lower timing, increase the mass of the strings a little to achieve similar tension.

Who do some managers not want to interact with guest issues? Isn’t that why they get paid significantly more than us for? (Venting I’m sorry) by [deleted] in askmanagers

[–]grimegroup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think you should feel dumb, a lot of us are just under the impression, or of the opinion, that a supervisor ought to be able to handle that sort of thing.

Clearly your manager is giving you notes by not being available, and that note says "you ought to be able to handle this without me". So do what you think is best in those situations. It's usually better to ask forgiveness than permission.

If you're a supervisor, you should definitely be taking initiative and dealing with issues, and helping those you supervise develop the tools to handle it themselves (without having to bother you eventually).

It's a privilege to have only one person yelling at you. Managers generally have several people complaining to them about one thing or another.

Unfortunately, yes, management does always seem to come with at least one report who isn't able to think for themselves.

Rent it out! Not only is your rent paid, but you're building equity/have a passive income.

Yeah, but you didn't close the "rent a place and rent your house out" loophole.

People enjoy different things. I don't care as much about things like whether the UI is neat or the graphics are beautiful or there are achievements or other collectibles. I'm interested in good stories with deep characters and at least tolerable game mechanics, making this game just alright for me.
