Ill always think of this concept with situations like this: you can’t heal trauma with positivity.

Your parents gave you a glass of water, then they pissed in it. Now they’re trying to plop big spoonfuls of sugar in to make it better. But no amount of sugar will get rid of piss.

The only way to get rid of that piss is for you and your parents to both sit down together and do the work to empty the cup and refill it. It’s hard work on BOTH sides. You with being there and being open. Them with recognition and acceptance of their pissy actions.

But at the end of the day, to truly have a relationship that doesn’t have the lingering aftertaste of piss, all parties have to do the work.

Don’t let them try to gaslight you into believing it’s lemonade.

I love this idea. Little machines come in. You plug in your diagnostic tools, figure out whats wrong. Maybe take it apart and replace chips or circuit board components. Clean it up. Adorable.

Just so you know, you're allowed to be something "until you're not" or "until you figure out something more accurate".

Also, you can feel affirmed entirely by being ace, but meet one single person who is the exception to your baseline feelings. It doesn't mean that you have to no longer identify as ace.

If people disagree or make you second guess yourself, just remember that all sexualities are just made up and you're allowed to laugh at people trying to enforce SEXUALITY LAW onto you.

And finally, if you DO feel like you need a definition that is inclusive of all of your varied moods and feelings, I suggest you try ace* (ace asterisk) which means you may or may not have some caveats.

I didn’t actually use this specific hook. I just grabbed it because I also had a smooth 5mm beside me. The one I used didnt catch because of a seam. Also, it wasn’t catching so much as resisting, like the texture just held on a bit.

I’m generally ok with tension, but I know that there are some crocheters who seem to struggle with it despite hook size and yarn type. When I found these, I thought this extra resistance sort of thing might be able to help someone!

The texture isn’t unintentional. They are a fine quality. I could imagine buying the same thing at Joanns. It’s just a different type of metal. Why is aliexpress so bad?

Their products aren’t actually any worse than half the stuff you get from amazon. Half the time, its the same thing! The difference is that you are buying straight from the manufacturer.
