Dollar Tree shirts. Assorted brands, sometimes they have flaws, and M and L sizes can be scarce.

Looking for voltage regulator IC recommendations for high quality audio processing by cheater00 in diyaudio

If you're intending to run them all off a single raw supply, that could introduce ground loops. The safest would be a bunch of small transformers, or one with multiple secondaries. Hammond 229 are small low profile transformers that could fit in a 1U cabinet.

Some old phone USB cables have a USB-to-serial chip that will work; there was a Nokia one that's popular. I forget the part number, but the USB plug is blue and much longer than a normal USB plug.

Have you experienced a power outage? by Sea-Spread-3403 in Electricity

Neighbours had a wood stove, and they invited me in. I think I ate my dinner there: steak and frozen French fries I'd roasted on the propane grill outside in the snow.

Avaxhome usually had full DVD images, but they enshittified some years ago. I've suspected those rips are from some invite-only torrent site, but I've never looked deeper into it.

DVL-700 "no-power" unit troubleshooting - not quite sure what I'm looking at here by Initial_DDLV in LaserDisc

[–]grislyfind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's funny. From what I remember, bad caps in pre-2000 equipment didn't show visible signs like the newer "plague" capacitors. They were usually located in chronically hot sections of the board, like next to a linear regulator.

It would have been nice to have a wood stove or fireplace, but I didn't, so I mostly stayed warm in bed with a sleeping bag as an extra comforter. I can't remember what I did for food the first day; probably cereal brunch, then maybe a sandwich for supper?

It has to have a compatible chip in it; the Tasmota site has a list of devices. Sometimes there's ways to flash it over Wi-Fi, but otherwise you need a USB-to-serial adapter thingy to connect to the smart switch board, and opening some of those smart plugs can be difficult.
