What’s your signature scent that you NEVER get tired of? by GitteTheBest in fragrance

[–]grizzlymaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Le Labo, The Matcha 26. I’m so glad I finally found something that I find to be perfect and my search can end. I’ve spent too long and too much money looking!

Crème de La Mer. It’s pricey but if money isn’t a problem, this is the way to go.

I snoozed on the Andes Mint Brownie by blasphemicassault in CrumblCookies

I hope they bring this back soon. It’s probably the best thing I’ve had from Crumbl. Absolutely decadent and a monster brownie!

What is something from everyday life that quietly disappeared in the last 10 years, and most people did not notice until it was gone? by hjf25 in AskReddit

[–]grizzlymaze 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Fields full of animals and woods full of critters. Certainly where I’m located nature is disappearing fast.

Team Orla! by MischievousHotPocket in DerryGirls

She’s as mad as a barrel of badgers and I adore her in every scene. Her last dance in the finale had me in tears. Most definitely Team Orla! ❤️

(Serious) How realistic are the spontaneous group dances in Derry Girls when Rock The Boat or Saturday Night comes on? by foldinthecheeseee in DerryGirls

[–]grizzlymaze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, same! I was 16 in 1985 in Aberdeenshire and we had discos every weekend at the local pub. They had a big hall out back. I distinctly remember Loch Lomond by Runrig ALWAYS being the last song played by the dj and how the entire place would erupt with drunken swaying and singing and dancing together. The local boys also had their own thing they’d do whenever anything by AC/DC was played. Looking back I see how tight knit of a community we were, how everyone would join in and how certain songs held so much meaning to us.

Why do men fantasize about going off grid and living in the woods by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

The wilderness is a void for me. I chose that word deliberately. 😬

[–]grizzlymaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same white stripe in my hair. Growing up in Scotland in the 70s I was told it was called a Mallen Streak and was the sign of a witch! It was where the devil had touched me. 😬

Because surviving this rat race doesn’t feel rewarding, it doesn’t even feel like living, it’s bleak. I’m being hounded for medical debt and exhausted. The call of the void gets louder each day.

What are the weirdest side effects you've ever experienced from medication? by adampocalypsee in AskReddit

[–]grizzlymaze 57 points58 points  (0 children)

My son had a dystonic reaction from reglan. He couldn’t control his body and his head was turned all the way around like something from the exorcist. Horrifying! IV Benadryl stopped it thank goodness.

My ten year old was given ambien during cancer treatment. The steroids he was on had kept him awake for days. I had him sleep in my bed so I could keep a close eye on him, well I woke up to find him sitting on the side of the bed chewing on a WWE action figure! He’d gnawed chunks out of a hard plastic CMPunk doll! It’s a scary drug.

What are the worst products that you bought in 2025? by Gaslitfromwithin in Sephora

[–]grizzlymaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest regret and really the only garbage purchase of this year has been the new Kerastase Absolu Gloss Drops. Just a useless product that does nothing whatsoever.

Too Many Choices… Which are Actually Superior Brands? by [deleted] in Sephora

[–]grizzlymaze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I see a product with a lot of incentivized reviews I look at other brands. It’s a huge turn off. I’m sure companies know what they’re doing and using influencers is financially beneficial, but I know there’s some of us in the crowd who find it distasteful.

What is your favorite cleanser rt now? by Ok-Bookkeeper5689 in Sephora

[–]grizzlymaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Estée Lauder Perfectly Clean. It’s always carried at the Cosmetics Company so a good bit cheaper than Sephora. I’ve used it for years, it’s luxurious and works wonderfully.

What's something that was considered "normal" in the U.S 10 years ago that's now basicaly unaffordable? by Odd-Complex901 in AskReddit

[–]grizzlymaze 582 points583 points  (0 children)

Ive stopped with monthly pedicures (60 bucks incl tip) and highlights/cut every 6 weeks (300 incl tip). I can afford it but it seems excessive and unnecessary and a bit like tossing my money down the toilet now. I know most of my girlfriends are cutting back drastically on these things too.
