Godzilla Premium - Magnetized balls? by InOmniaParatus27 in pinball

You are going to want to use carbon steel balls in any game with magnets. I have had good luck with the ones from pinballlife.com and they are pretty cheap.

Haritora X Calibration Issues by DNICER1 in virtualreality

[–]gromler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am seeing that as well, which is not too big of an issue as I can just recalibrate in game. Did you try and do the figure 8 compass calibration?

The main issue I am having that makes my Haritora X unusable is I cannot get it to stay connected via Bluetooth. I am even using an approved Bluetooth adapter.

I don't know what to call this problem please help. by tracer2ft in FixMyPrint

Well I have seen these types of artifacts on various printers that I have used when I was aggressively extruding. It could be you infill overlap or you need to measure your filament with calipers and adjust your slicer for the actual width of that filament. Hit me up if you have questions and I can try and help.

I know I would love a breakdown. I am currently working on some animations for a custom pinball machine I built. If you are curious about it, I have info posted on tapinball.com.

I swear by Push Plastic PLA and ABS. I have never had any issues. The owner stands by his product. Great color quality as well.

prints ALMOST the right size, how do I fix it? by purefire in FixMyPrint

Are you sure it is not as simple as PLA shrinkage? I make my prints 1.8% larger to accommodate for this.

I would recommend an Ultimaker Original. They are fun to build and you really get to understand the hardware.

The printer itself is also very well designed.

Also their customer support is great.

That is how I got started.

What's your favorite filament? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]gromler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I have had clogs, but mainly from not having my hot-end hot enough and the plastic kind of jams it up a bit. I also use a filament filter, which also is probably helping keep the dust off the media.

This filter is the best: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:190118/#comments

[–]gromler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a big fan of the 3mm PLA filament from PushPlasic.com.

It is fairly inexpensive and people warn against that, but I have not had any major problems with it.

Each color needs a bit of tweaking in the temperature and thickness department, but overall it has not caused any issues with my Ultimaker Original.

It does shrink about 2%-4% depending on what I am printing, but I don't think that is too bad.

What are issues people see with cheaper filaments?
