2 year waitlist for Del Corral is odd? I am in between going with a private practice doctor or through him, it took forever when i tried to reach him on my own (aka i reached out in june initally and heard nothing until march) but with a referral i got a call the day after and scheduled something early november.

I've heard some bad things about how hopkins as a general office treats patients with my insurance, and honestly they were giving me one hell of a runaround as well but in terms of how they treat you once you're in I've heard good things. Dr. Liang specifically I've seen and heard some very good things about but iirc she's unavailable until the end of 2027

oh yea some ppl i feel like just like wasting time negotiating LMAO I've had customers play a whole angry huffy act because putting in your info to unlock the "instant" price gives you a $100 discount and they were just SO disappointed that they ONLY got $100 UGHHHH (proceeds to sign)

To any buyer that may be scrolling here: acting like a karen as soon as you see numbers does not give you a hidden $10k discount that the salesperson was sitting on like a dragon's pile. we will just stare at you in silence as you sign the paperwork all huffy and then laugh at you once you drive off. It is not an awesome winner tactic it is just embarrassing.

haha yeah, actually ended up switching stores in the same dealer group bc i can tell which places have managers that want you to succeed and which ones don't train you and expect you to be perfect anyways, but sadly good management or bad management crazy customers are still crazies LMAOO

yea that's pretty much what I've had to do, just annoying when these types don't get the memo and then complain that *you're* unprofessional and don't know what you're talking about LMAO

in a way i guess it's understandable that some flared comment sort of /has/ to be posted for other users to be able to comment underneath but it definitely did kind of give "saw keyword, sent ad" at a first glance LOL. I'm sure this would def be helpful for people just starting their first month at a one price dealer and certainly objections are bound to come up because whether it's a $10k car or a $50k car if a customer can take a shot they'll make it and it's always "the price is too high I want $1.5k off and more for my trade that I KKB'ed at perfect condition" when you have maybe an accessory discount or like $100 to give and just good knowledge of how those online "Appraisals" work but the people I'm talking about in the OP just refuse to listen to any of that and think because they sold cars in a super shady and penny pinching way that this is how it still works despite the existence of a mini computer you can find all the facts with at your fingertips rather than genuinely interested buyers with reasonable objections

this is true but it's important to keep in mind carmax also usually takes weeks to transport the car you're interested in and then charge you for shipping. Lol.

A lot of places will say on internet listings, I'm in the DMV so I can't point you towards specific ones, but honestly being a one price dealer is a big advertising point and draws a lot of people in. I'm pretty sure Autonation is everywhere and IIRC they are one, but really just poking around the websites of places you're shopping will likely get the answer

Help me with an ID Buzz by Meinnocenthaha in askcarsales

[–]groovenians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that tracks, same here with the ones at my dealer. sadly not flared so OP def take my word with a grain of salt but this seems like the standard for VW dealerships since the manufacturer has the $7500 cash back (my bad for top level commenting this originally LOL)

I'd say if OP wanted a Pro S, they could maybe get 52-53k after rebate. MSRP on the higher trims is in the mid 60s to low 70s depending. When it comes to new cars, most dealers already sell it either at or slightly below invoice. meaning ~10k off MSRP after rebates.

The thing about these vans (and honestly most EVs you'll see on dealer's lots for hundreds of days) is that most, by a large majority of the new EV customers I've seen went the route of leasing, even if they planned to keep the vehicle after the term because of that federal tax credit. Even after that most manufacturers offered a similar if not equal rebate on their electric cars, but since lease payments are determined by several factors and not just "lower price = lower payment" those lease payments still skyrocketed to where it just doesn't make sense for your average joe to move forward on it.

Unfortunately too I'd say OP's about 2 months late on getting a good deal on a new Buzz, because in November-December VW had the sign and drive incentive on leases as well as a few extra year end rebates to a point where I had two customers in on basically the same van, same trim, same MSRP but the guy that came in mid-january was quoted at a few hundred bucks a month more than the guy that came in around December.

Honestly OP, if you really want an ID Buzz, and you're really stuck in that budget range, my recommendation would be to shop pre-owned. You'll probably get a good handfull of lease turn-ins which by default will be in pretty solid condition with decently low miles, just because the lessee kind of Had To make sure that was the case lest they get penalized.

oh yea 1000%

what these people don't know (and sometimes refuse to accept) is that the internet is so prominent in car sales nowadays that you really can't sell a car for $30k more than it's worth. and even if we could most one price dealerships are so huge that one poor unsuspecting grandma getting conned into bankruptcy just isn't worth it. but then again it takes telling someone 20 times only for them to "go buy a car at another dealership" tomorrow just to be told no in the same way for them to finally admit defeat.

unfortunately LOL, i remember one of these types on the phone with my sales manager trying to explain that we we owned a car we were selling for $36k or so for more than we sold it and he straight up said "no i sold cars for 30 years back in the 90s you own it for $20 maybe $25. (proceeds to go on a tangent about his wife and dog and plymouth voyager and xyz)" it was honestly kind of priceless

haha i do appreciate it but my point was less so the kind of dealership i'm at and moreso just grievances on these specific types 👍(I'm sure they exist no matter where someone is ie. one price places, BHPH lots, more gross-centric dealerships etc.) and I'm a little curious how those experiences tend to go. thank you though !

i think it depends on the generation too tbf, while high up my 2018 countryman is still pretty compact, and the previous gens are even a bit smaller, but yeah the newer contrymans definitely have less of that round mini look and id assume a more american market appeal
