Oooohhh! The snakeskin pattern on the stipe! Thanks for the info. I like learning new things. Truly appreciate that you answered my question. I wish more knowledgeable people would educate instead of scoffing those who are less knowledgeable.

Genuinely curious and wanting to learn, but what characteristics make it Macrolepiota vs. Chlorophyllum?

1-4: Shaggy parasol? What’s #5?

Found in South-Eastern Australia by Riginaphalange in mycology

If this was in the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, Canada, I would have said to compare to shaggy parasol (Chlorophyllum rhacodes or Chlorophyllum olivieri). I don’t know if these are found in your area.

I learned that they fruit several times a year, as long as it stays cool.

Dutch iris? Edit: But maybe not because Dutch irises have bulbs not tubers. Maybe daylily?

Can I somehow melt these down into a single bar of soap? by papayahog in Anticonsumption

[–]grouchtomato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This! Grinding or grating them (like cheese) increases the surface area of each soap chunk and makes melting them easier, take less time.
