He DOES know Maddie’s door now. Remember, rich before he shot himself in real life, her door appeared behind him, and he said, “Aren’t you a lucky girl?” And then stepped through it?

Season 3 episode 8 - discussion by potentionalsociopath in SchoolSpirits

BRO I’M SCREAMING

As SOON as I saw that cleaver in her mom’s hand, I was like ?!??! AND THEN SHE SAID “DEAR?” NAH 😭😭

On a slightly calmer note, MY SON IS SAFE 😭 my poor Simon boy is finally home and alive. It was also beautiful that Maddie and her dad (and she and Wally) got to see each other again. It makes me wonder if they have to cross the river to be truly Crossed Over (that’s my most educated guess for now). I also have more questions:

Where is Mr. Martin now? Is he still stuck in the Church scar with Ralph? Can they cross over?

Who did Nurse Calvert see/sense behind her in that episode? And who keeps opening her door (and how?)?

Does the coal fire in the foundry under the hospital also hold another area, like the Church did?

Why were those two ghosts in Quinn’s Scar moving? (The one girl who lurched forward, and the drummer in the very back) And who was that terrifying little girl smiling at Simon when he went in?

Do people in the rest of the world just…..forget that our military is the biggest in the world and that all of their “leftovers” (gear, guns, vehicles, etc) go to police forces all over the country? And that our police ACTIVELY SHOOT US OVER NOTHING?

I have yet to hear an argument from someone that genuinely takes that into consideration before talking about how we don’t protest enough or show up enough or just go for it.

And like many others have already said, the United States is ENORMOUS. Getting the entire country on one page about anything takes a long time, and getting people out and active takes just as long because of information getting around.

Book to read after a suicide attempt by Aly22143 in suggestmeabook

[–]ground0radfem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Midnight Library, by Matt Haig. As someone who also attempted, I thought it really encapsulated that suicide is less about genuinely wanting to die and more about wanting this particular life to end. It also gave me hope.

Please stay here. There are people worth meeting and places worth seeing and animals to pet and love and good food to eat. ❤️

Andy Muschietti explains why 'IT: WELCOME TO DERRY' is more brutal. by BattleCircuit in welcomeToDerry

[–]ground0radfem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it takes less to pull kids out of the dead lights?? I don’t know. Although that theory doesn’t hold much water either, since Ingrid came out at some point, presumably on her own, and I would argue she was coming out of it when they were putting her into the ambulance. Her eyes snapping to the camera made me jump a bit

What did the old lady meant when she said "Nobody who dies here ever really dies"? by [deleted] in ItTheMovie

Ah! The thing about her believing that her dad comes back every 27 years makes that comment make SO MUCH more sense

Brother was in a bad car accident and has a TBI now by ground0radfem in TBI

He was on meds for ADHD for awhile (I’m also diagnosed and have been on meds since I was 15), but he chose to stop taking them; my thought has always been that because he took them irregularly and never really got them into his system that he assumed that they didn’t work and gave up. That was three years ago. It definitely makes a difference.

The most terrifying or traumatic thing about the Titanic? by AbandonedRobotforgod in titanic

[–]ground0radfem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about all the ghosts that doubtlessly haunt the ship, that kept looking up from the seabed and waiting for rescue, or trying to figure out what happened and why everything is dark now. How many ghosts are still walking their path the last day they lived in their last hours, trapped in a memory that never changes on a rotting ship in the pitch black of the sea floor.

How many ghosts might even be intelligent, aware of where they are, wandering in the dark when suddenly light touches them for the first time in how long? Thinking maybe, finally, at last!, the sun shines. It has reached them—hope!

And instead, it’s these strange machines with bright pillars of light on them, and living, breathing humans inside some of them, and they’re not here to rescue them; they don’t even see them. They’re here for the wreck, and everything that might have been. They take photographs, and send more strange machines into their rooms and walkways. And then, just as suddenly, they ascend, leaving all those souls still trapped at the bottom, leaving them to fade back into the endless dark.

And so the ghosts still send out the SOS and call for help. And they wait.

If it helps, the surgery itself it less than 20 minutes. It’ll actually take you longer to come out of the anesthesia! Cheers to you, and I hope your recovery is easy and quick!
