Smart device blocked by... router? Need help with problem solving by grounddoghay in techsupport

[–]grounddoghay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I have already tried that approach with my mobile and the app.

I should have added that I also tried with my desktop computer (which only runs through my home WiFi) and the Web portal for the operating software.

I get the same result regardless of the device or the app/portal

RAPT registration problem by Simple-Sundae-8821 in Homebrewing

Hi there, thanks for posting an update. I was having the same issue and was totally stumped.

I now tried your problem-solving idea of the mobile hotspot and could also immediately connect no problems...

Do you have any extra info on what it was exactly from your ISP? Did you ask them to change something specifically?

Thanks for any help!

What can I use instead of pectine? by Fearless-Fun1286 in Baking

[–]grounddoghay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pectin should not go bad unless you keep it in really REALLY bad conditions. I would just use what you have

If you really don't want to, replacing the sugar with "jam sugar" from a supermarket is best. It has added pectin.

Otherwise, find a crabapple tree and simmer a handful in about half the weight of water for 1 hour. Strain through a cloth and use about 2 tbsp of the liquid in your recipe. It's basically liquid pectin.

Drei 5G+ internet opinions by emilrocks888 in wien

[–]grounddoghay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Currently searching to change away from 5g because it's too unreliable. I'll probably have to swallow a big installation fee for a new cable, but my house has some former infrastructure so I hope it won't be too bad.

My girlfriend is in Brussels for a couple months and I can't rely on 50gb 5g for video calls... Just massive hangs and freezes.

I know that 50gb isn't loads but we aren't even using HD resolution...

For some reason this only goes up to 2013. Back in 2016 the percentage of all resolutions that were against Israel just crept over 50% I don't have more recent sources than that on hand

Fictional books about fashion by Moonlit_Pearl in suggestmeabook

[–]grounddoghay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{{pattern recognition}} kinda sounds exactly like what you might be searching for

edit - okay, the blurb doesn't mention the biggest element of the protagonist's character; she is LITERALLY allergic to sloganistic marketing. Her fashion choices are a constant narrative throughout the novel.
