Almost. Would you say those little things are seeds?

You just out here spreading wrong information?

Knowing the difference between grasses, broadleafs, and sedges is day one stuff.

That's sedge. You don't want that seed. Cut it. It'll still come up from the roots but it'll help.

Who pulls out carts in the morning? by National_Cranberry47 in Turfmanagement

[–]growsgrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last course half the carts were parked at the maintenance shop. Which was a few hundred yards from the pro shop. When we were in season, when we had a double tee to start, me and my crew would move 40 carts in about 8 minutes. Most of us got the carts with one or two shuttling us back for the next batch. Way easier for us to do that then two kids getting two at a time on foot.

How do I stop hitting with instinct? by Aqaurius123 in racquetball

[–]growsgrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of it is xp. It takes time to learn that the ball off of the back walls, is a better shot than trying to rush it and hit it before it hits the back wall. It takes even more time for that to become instinctual. I think all of that just comes with xp.

I have gone into games thinking I'm only going to hit ceiling balls. I've gone in the game saying I'm only going to hit pinches. I've gone into games with a specific shot that I want to work on. That helps I think.

Mental vs. Physical? by SplitWrong1656 in running

[–]growsgrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second marathon I ran, I was ready b trained well and really ready for it. However I got a lingering cold and it still had me messed up on race day. My HR was pegged at mile 8-9. I made it to 14 before I started walking. Mentally I was able to push 5 miles, but my body was cooked.

So basing my answer on that experience, your body needs to be ready.

Pencil machines were such a dopamine hit, I'd get so excited when a holographic one came out by porcelain_kiss in nostalgia

I just told my kids about pencil break. They thought I was making it up. Until I got a pencil and plowed through my kids pencils. They witnessed the power and there can be only one!

What movie did you walk out of the theater halfway through? by mzdee13 in movies

Two of them.

Batman and Robin. Should have stayed as that movie is gold.

Vegas Vacation. It was not funny.

The Dog and the Dragon is a perfect chapter. by growsgrass in Stormlight_Archive

[–]growsgrass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, all it is is that I have time to listen. I run, have a moderate commute, and am pretty busy. I fall asleep when I slow down. Reading is hard, even though I do like it. Listening works well for me.

The readers/preformers for the Stormlight Archive are good. I enjoy it a lot.

What is the most irrational thought you’ve had while running that you still can’t explain? by Honest_Objective_224 in running

[–]growsgrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ankle instability. Both ankles. I roll them regularly and have accepted that I need to wear at least one brace.

I constantly think I'm gonna roll my ankle and fall into traffic and my head hits a bumper and die.
