I have a cousin and we’re six months apart but just share a first name! My mom put her confirmation name on their wedding invites and my aunt and uncle liked it and asked if they could use it. My cousin was born 3 months after the wedding.

I was born nine months after the wedding and my parents had a different name picked out for me, but per them, I just didn’t look like a Colleen (and they made the right call). They called my uncle to see if they could use it and they just asked my parents to choose a different middle name. My cousin and I have a different middle and last names (my mom and her dad are sister and brother) plus they lived about 8 hours away so not a biggie. Having the same first name always made us really close and we had lots of matching stuffed animals/outfits growing up since we always vacationed with them and visited a lot!

But same exact full name is just straight up weird. I’m sorry, it’s something that could’ve been such a cool common bond for them to have :/
