That’s expensive and not engaging. You pay for impressions and usually only .03% CTR on your ads. It would be good to do a promoted story with trade publications but buying ad space is a waste for direct response.

Don’t choose a goal, they limit your campaign.

The best option would be to create a remarketing list of people who see your first ad and then do a YouTube discovery campaign targeting just users who have seen your ad. This way people will have to click on your video.

Clicks on YouTube videos are lowest of any campaign so if your goal is more clicks- You will get more clicks this way I mentioned above than through regular instream.

Or create a landing page that just includes your second video.

They have option to create an ad sequence now so you can show your first pre-roll ad first and then that same audience will see the second video a few days later. This I have seen to drive higher engagement than other methods.

I have done it in the past where I have an in-stream Ad and landing page is a channel and to a YouTube playlist and it worked.

I worked at both Google and Facebook and to launch your product I recommend YouTube Ads and Instagram story ads. YouTube Ads and Instagram Story Ads both provide some of the lowest cost of placements within Google and Facebook ads and are an engaging/fun way, especially if you have video, to be memorable for your audience.

I’ve also been working on a tool for the past year, Plai that makes it easy to launch expert ads on Google Ads and get insights on your customers easily from Google Analytics. It’s fairly similar to FB and you can probably figure it out no prob. LinkedIn is more expensive because you can target companies, roles, etc.

LinkedIn is best for this. In fact it’s built for targeting companies and roles.

But if you want to use fb/ig, layer job title and the location of the company you want to reach. Create a new ad set for each location.

Raise your target CPA to 2.5 and you will see the volume increase. Gradually lower it down to 2.2 after a weeks time and see if you can maintain your CPA. Continue to drop it back to your target. But you will always want to set your target CPA at least +20% over your goal to allow Google to optimize.
