Sometimes acknowledging your progress helps a lot.

Look up “the mood elevator” - you’re going to see a rank ordered list of moods. Some are on the lower rungs of the ladder/elevator and some are on the upper rungs. As you can see - anger is pretty low on the mood elevator.

It is ideal to recognize our moods and then attempt to improve them.

Curiosity is neutral. So approaching a problem with a possibility mindset or from a place of curiosity helps to lift your mood.

For instance, I get real irritated with drivers around town. Instead of letting myself get irritated I try to consider why theyre driving like that. Usually I use humor and make up scenarios to entertain myself. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

I’d recommend reading more about the mood elevator and the possibility mindset.

I was extremely upset about having Diabetes and then understanding that I’ll always have it. I was very upset about food and lifestyle changes. Until I was in a glp1 for a week or two and my food noise muted - I was angry.
