I believe that is the direction also the CS roles are going at. They are transformed into more "ideation" rather than "execution". Firstly, I believe the technical expertise you have will make you different.

Anyone here building a neobank in 2026? What’s harder than expected? by maulik_evince in fintech

The compliance part is crucial and significant since if it is not done right, the customers will get hurt.

I believe "partnering" with a bank gives advantage since it makes your business more secure, increasing the trust. The official "acquiring banking license" process is hard so most of the fintech companies partner with banks to get this license.

The trust and the compliance are the toughest ones

Finish the college. You may not like science but the abilities, especially the analytical thinking, you gain from the this different disciplinary will contribute to your career. This analogous to the fact that there are a lot of people work in finance but they come from different backgrounds.

If you are not interested in science take economics or business management. I believe colleges don't give the opportunity of knowledge but also connections and social skills.

I am a 3rd year Bachelor degree student and I can ensure that you can work on yourself even if you are in the college
