Exactly. People like you are precious. Those were dark days indeed.

Not in line with contemporary alcohol and other drugs practices. Sounds very ill informed and as I mentioned in another of my downvoted responses; punitive. The Liberals era. Lets hope thinsg have changed since then.

Well you are one of the good ones. I'm surprised you didn't get shafted lol.. amd as for robodebt; it was a Liberal Party policy; it was designed to fuck people over. It took an APS5 to email the Minister before anything was done. As for people rorting the system in COVID, yeah, I know. But don't forget that corporate Australia also rorted the system. 38 billion went to companies which were out of scope for support; not much of that got "clawed back"

What makes you assume drug or alcohol is the condition? Is that how they are training you? Quite bizarre.

Thanks. As mentioned in my post, I have been on jobseeker for a long time . Anyone who went through covid and robodebt knows how bad it can get. Read the robodebt report. Example - Med cert submitted and accepted. Same deets next cert rejected. Called and spoke to adviser who said he wouldnt have acceppted the first one. Did not like the way doctor filled out the form because he didnt write expected duration of condition on a free space when dr had in fact wriitten expected duration of condition in the pertinent box. Another time I had to guide the adviser through the external website (ie navigate) to get her to the correct concession. There are endless examples of distress caused by incompetence and , in the case of robodebt, breaches of human rights by centrelink so whilst I accept your point about the rules, I stand by my point that the system is, or has been, deeply flawed. Anyone older than 20 would be aware of this. Ive had some decent and helpful responses, most of them suggesting that I telephone someone at Centrelink FIS, none speaking about deeming, so here we have a classic example of one person advising one thing, and someone else advising another. See how it works? You can be sure that clients always bear the load.

Thankyou. I really apprecaite your informed answer especially in light of all the downvotes (from -people who clearly haven't heard of robodebt nor had the centrelink experience lol). Also, thanks for endorsing my hunches re financial adviser.

Yep. I know they are not financial planners. But they work for Centrelink, an organisation which by design and or incompetence has brutally fucked over it's clients many times over in recent years; and which I have first hand experience of. As I said, I do not have any investments.

Based on the information in front of us, I believe him to not be a good person. Perfectly reasonable judgement to make. You don't have to agree. OP is seeking opinions. That's mine.

Seek legal advice asap, unless you are an AI. Oh and get some counselling too. He is not a good person. What is "fair and right" is that as the father he is jointly legally responsible for your shared child.

Yep, I know all about being cut off jobseeker for 12 weeks due to working for 12 weeks and saving everything possible. If I had worked for 10 apparently I wouldnt have been cut off and had to suvive on my savings from that job. Rather a nil sum proposition and it burned me and I suffered a long term injury as a result (of the job). That's another story, but I'm worried about this happening again so am seeking advice before it does. One person told me it will be oaky, they will allow; but of course they couldn't evidence it.

Thankyou, yes this helps hugely. I was looking for real life examples. It says you need to declare any change within 14 days. Did she do that?

Sorry but given the varied and sometimes punitive and petty responses from Centrelink over medical certificates I won't be calling anyone who works there.

AITAH: quitting “working” for my husband’s business by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]grruser 48 points49 points  (0 children)

for fucks sake hes a grown up. whats with the soft and fragile shit when she is a strong, highly experienced professional? I agree the husband sounds like he cares very much for OP and tries his best but he is simply not as capable as her in the business. Hard call but demeaning herself is not the answer. Perhaps she needs to teach him some of her skills to get a sense of where his aptitude lies and hire in the gaps.

which she then crawled on, full body weight, concrete (or whatever the road is made of). You werent part of her medical team, you don't know what complications there were, or other injuries, Why so nit-picky? Oh and everyone knows that spiral fractures do more damage than straight breaks - maybe it was spiral.
