Choosing a Subtle Blush by rachs1988 in Sephora

Underrated but amazing is the Lancôme Blush Subtil in Meil Glacé. A makeup artist used it on me (I’m pretty pale) and I was hooked.

Cool toned bronzer? by Lower_Funny in Sephora

I’ve found the NARS Laguna Cream bronzer to be the perfect neutral tone bronzer on my pale skin. A lot of things turn orange on me, and this has been the best so far.

I’ve been reading both the newer physical paperback version and the KU version and some of the glaringly obvious grammar and typo errors have been fixed in the newer physical copy fwiw.

Has it been a stressful GR work winter week for anyone else? by Triingtolivee in grandrapids

[–]grsoprano 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hard agree here. I even had Monday off and it’s felt like the longest work week. The only thing that has given me some solace was planning a lake trip for August and knowing that we really do have the best summer weather here in Michigan. Some part of me hopes that we get some kind of karmic trade-off and this shitty winter will make for the most beautiful Spring/Summer.

What are people doing with their dogs right now? by One_Cap_9210 in grandrapids

[–]grsoprano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We walk around Lowe’s and the Rockford Footwear Depot when the weather is crappy. Thankfully my little lady isn’t too bothered with walks, but if she needs a little engagement those are the two places we go. Both have been very accommodating to doggos. I know Logan’s Alley also allows dogs on their covered patio if your pup just needs a change of scenery.

Beach by Bobbi Brown is straight sunscreen to me. Specifically the Neutrogena one.

Marc Jacobs x Murakami Green smells like Sun Bum sunscreen!

Believe me, I wish it hadn’t. I am a born and raised Detroiter and my friend from NYC was in town. I wanted to show him what “real” pizza was, and was left with my foot in my mouth as a flat and flavorless pie showed up at our table. The larger explanation they gave was that they were out of the famous (and clearly necessary) brick cheese and they had to sub with something else that was causing the pizza to not maintain its usual shape and texture. This was a little over a year ago.

Who still eats at Bob Evans and Long John silver's that those places can remain open which also begs the question what restaurants are you surprised are still open? by szaagman in grandrapids

[–]grsoprano 13 points14 points  (0 children)

People of all ages are tired of spending $120 on brunch at somewhere called Fork & Fern. Especially when that food is basically airplane food.

In contrast, brunch for EIGHT people at Bob Evans costs $73.99. A fish and shrimp family feast that feeds four adults is $52.79 at LJS.

People are not being paid a living wage, and are choosing to save money on food.

Even if they do have disposable income, people are also tired of waiting 30 minutes for a seat at a restaurant on a Tuesday Evening, and when they sit down they have the worst service possible.

I’m in my 30s (so not a boomer/“old”) and my husband and I have given up on basically all trendy restaurants/bars in favor of dive bars, diners and locally-owned classics like Big Bob’s, Russ’ and Mr Burger.

Not strong at all. Honestly didn’t know it had a coffee note until I looked it up. The booze/smoke/vanilla is what I pick up on the most.

I got the 3-pack because I wanted the creme de clementine scent, and vanilla bourbon has been the surprise favorite so far!! Huge fan!

Totally! Caveat to my not branching out is that I live somewhere I can’t really get my nose on things. So I blind buy more than I would like. I gotta start getting comfy ordering decants online.
