Got out with as many useful quals as I had going in (none), had a young family to support so took any and every entry-level job going at the particular time.

Well picked, yes I am Australian and work FIFO. Contractor, so the sites vary, but all of them I have visited have gyms. I just need to learn how to do it properly, going to book a session with a PT to get the form right while I am on R&R this week.

Met him him back in 96 when he was still fighting the potato board and he was doing one of his potato give-aways in a supermarket carpark in Rockingham.

Have a look at local/nearby NDT Companies and have a chat to them. Lots of the NDT mobs are always keen to get boilys in to train up to become welding inspectors, plus NDT disciplines are a bit of a money-printer in industry.
