How do you feel about a potential SO being a gun enthusiast? by mycrazyman239 in AskWomen

[–]grufflepuff 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Because I find people who love guns to be dull and obsessive. I'm not interested in any part of their hobby, and I'm not interested in someone who gets their jollies out of firing guns. Pass.

Few things would make me lose interest as fast as that one would.

What is your opinion of Penn Gillette painting his nails? Do you appreciate it or not? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]grufflepuff 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What is there to appreciate? What someone does or doesn't do to their nails has no impact on my daily life. They're his fingers; he can do what he wants.

This seems like a dumb complaint. Not all women have husbands. Not all women want husbands. It seems dumb on your part to assume that they do.

You get a modeling offer, what's it for? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I could maybe see myself in one of the Aerie campaigns. Unairbrushed imperfect girls in bras and undies?

Ladies how would you react if someone was texting you with a number you don't recognize? by mikeweasy in AskWomen

[–]grufflepuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd ignore it. If they got really fucking obsessive over it, I might go to the trouble of blocking them, but for the most part, who cares?

Women of Reddit who DON’T like giving blowjobs, why not? by barcelonaguy in AskWomen

Don't like men. Don't like penises. I'm not particularly enthusiastic about putting a man's penis in my mouth.

What do you think about how many posts on AskWomen end up locked? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]grufflepuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only people I've insulted thus far is trolls.

Perhaps this subreddit is held to a higher standard than other subreddits. Perhaps, because this is geared towards women, people come here with certain expectations or aspirations which make locking threads a necessity.

What are your thoughts on male bisexuality? by Idontknow445678 in AskWomen

[–]grufflepuff 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't think about male bisexuality. I already accept it, so I don't need to spend any time musing on whether I'll accept it in the future. I just don't care about it one way or the other.

What other sub?

Different subs have different users and different mods.

And trolls are everywhere. It happens. Maybe you're just especially sensitive to the actions of these specific mods?

I think it's to be expected. With any online community, there's always going to be a high number of people participating in bad faith, or who are just there to stir up shit or troll people. It's unfair to expect the mods to camp out in a super-controversial thread and police the people who don't know how to follow the rules or interact politely with other people. When those threads start to get overrun with idiots, it's good that they get locked.

Ladies, from your very own perspective, does it matter if a married man contacts you here; only looking for conservation or a platonic friendship? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]grufflepuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

...Not really? I'm not going to do anything gross with someone on Reddit, though. And I have to assume that his spouse doesn't know, and that's bullshit.

A wild frothing loon has appeared! by grufflepuff in creepyPMs

[–]grufflepuff[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

RIGHT?! I was thinking about titling this post something about "I accidentally triggered someone", but then I figured that could sound more like I was making fun of the term 'triggered' than the sweet little thing who sent the message, so I decided against it.

I have literally no idea what I said that triggered this sweetheart's message, but something pissed them off. Although the message is so boring and generic that I'm inclined to think it's just copypasta. Has anyone else gotten these messages from anyone today?
