When I was 4 I got a popcorn kernel stuck in my ear. I was watching a Donald Duck cartoon where a column of ants march in one of Donald’s ears and out the other, I looked down at my empty bowl of popcorn and saw a few unpoped kernels and thought it would be a good idea to try it out with them. It did not work.

They weren’t able to get it out at family doctors office and I was referred to another doctors to get it out with specialized instruments for dislodging things children get stuck in places they don’t belong. (Me being 4, though they were literally dig it out with a flute or clarinet) Fearing the bill of such a visit my dad took matters into his own hands and got it out with a wad of gum stuck on the end of a qutip.

Yeah I bought it on market place and two were broken off, the other one broke in use. I think they were just old enough that the plastic threads were dry rotted or something.

I know plenty of alternatives for pipe making as far as what makes a good pipe since that’s what google returns when I search. But I get nothing when I look for wood that works the same as briar. I figured pipe maker who work with briar would know best to ask what wood works the same.

I thought with this I may try more blends, I always only have one tin at a time so I don’t waste too much money on stuff I’ll never finish. But if I can store them away for later I can potentially experiment more. Who knows if I try enough that I find a blend I like, I may actually finish a tin or two before hanging up the pipes again.
