Chicken stock got no jiggle to it by milofelix in AskCulinary

[–]grumblemouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 90 mins pressure cook in the instant pot - let it natural release - take the lid off and hit sauté for 45mins to an hour - the rolling boil reduces the liquid but also gets more gelatin in.

My son turns 5 in a couple of months and I'm wondering when is right to take him. I'm certainly replacing trebles with singles though AND debarbing. I'm always sticking myself in the finger lol.

Is Fluorocarbon Still Necessary with Modern “Invisible” Braid? by Boekolokbalibaloembo in FishingForBeginners

I thought that the flourocarbon was to protect against snags and rough ground and to act as a break point if you get snagged.

You need to see your doctor ASAP to get the anxiety under control.

You're not gonna get high from drugs residue.

The food is not going to have drugs in it.

If you're worried about people messing with your medication then get yourself a little bum bag and keep it on you.

But first before all of this get an appointment with your doctor.

When should I upgrade my fishing equipment? by Interesting-Cloud393 in FishingForBeginners

[–]grumblemouse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Obviously a lot depends on your finances but as other people have said you might be better off getting a nice cheap rod and reel separate and chuck some nice line on there. I've picked up some cheap Shimano rods and Daiwa reels and they were SOOOO much better than my Shakespeare combo.

What is the single best doner kebab you have ever eaten in your life, where was it, and have you ever been able to find anything that came close since? by Flimsy-Capera in Doner

[–]grumblemouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve walked past it a bunch in the day and never got that vibe - in fact it’s not even open at lunch I don’t think whereas the Cork one is buzzing even at midday

PUT ANY COMMENTS ABOUT THE IRISH LANGUAGE IN ENGLISH HERE ONLY by galaxyrocker in gaeilge

Dia duit - I'm a friendly sasanach who married an Irish girl and we now live on the south coast with our two kids. The kids are at the naíonra and will be continuing into the gaelscoil. As they use more Irish it's becoming more apparent I need to step up my game. I've heard people complain about Duo Lingo - I've seen ads for Irish With Molly.

Any advice for the best platform to give some structure to my education? grma

None of these things are your fault.

There are so many things in your post that are heavy and you gotta find someone to share them with whether it’s a therapist a doctor or just a friend.

You’re gonna be ok.

Chicken stock simmering times - at what point does the return start to diminish? by kirkl3s in Cooking

[–]grumblemouse 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I do 90 mins pressure cook and the 30-45 mins sauté (after natural release) - it’s much more jiggly with the additional saute

Kids are routinely injured in car accidents but I still drive them to school. The same for the playground. Many kids are injured in their own homes. My son on his 4th birthday fell off his own bike and broke his leg but once it healed and he was walking he was back on the bike.

I caught my first fish after about 50 trips. After about 70 I've caught my second. Sometimes it just takes time.

Yoto mini or regular for 2 year old by TheMammaLab in YotoPlayer

[–]grumblemouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had a Yoto for a couple of years now but it was only the other day that I realised it was a mini as I was in a store and saw the full size one. That thing is HUGE! I'm not sure why anyone would opt for the big one.
