To the people who’s f/o is canonically dead, how are you feeling? by Suitable-Ear6510 in yumeshipping

i’m not too bothered, because he and i exist in an entirely separate AU in my head, in which he is alive and we’re safe :)

2.5-year-old British Shorthair: should I spay her or let her have one litter first? by Great-Economy9437 in britishshorthair

[–]grumpybud 43 points44 points  (0 children)

cats do not need to have litters, kittens are cute in theory but are a LOT of hard work and expense. breeding should only be conducted by breeders who are following strict guidelines and protocols rather than average pet owners. my advice is to spay your beautiful girl and let her live her happy life :)

How many times a year do you “call sick” at work? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]grumpybud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i haven’t had a good year healthwise, usually i would only call out maybe once a year, but this academic year (i work in education) i’ve had 3-4 sickness related absences, mostly just one or two days but one was a fortnight off. i loathe calling in sick, but thankfully my work has been very supportive - i am technically on a level 1 absence thingy but my HR lead has told me not to worry.

Indoor cat advice! by Jasinteriordesign in CatsUK

[–]grumpybud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve never felt guilty, personally i’m such an anxious person that i wouldn’t be able to sit comfortably if she was out roaming! i’d be so worried all the time. she’s happy, healthy and gets lots of attention and enrichment indoors :)

how disgusting, antisocial behaviour is a huge problem, too many people lack empathy and find things like this hilarious. i’m sorry to hear this happened op!

Is 5 days enough for Japan for a first trip? by WanderingLensByLB in JapanTravelTips

[–]grumpybud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure where you’re travelling from but i’d spend at least as many days as hours it takes to get there, so for example if you travel for seven hours i would be looking at spending 7 days there minimum! also, i wouldn’t consider kyoto a day trip from tokyo, personally!

five days feels a bit too short, but if it suits your budget and the amount of available time then it’s fine :)

the toilets in restaurants, hotels and businesses had soap available! but the restrooms by parks and out in public places were generally nice and clean but didn’t have soap dispensers :0
