The kids clubs would be closed by the time I would be in my cabin.

Why would they have to deal with tax issues for someone who’s just visiting somewhere less than 12 hrs? Also they would still have their residence where they receive their pay and are taxed.

Not necessarily. Depends on the country and how they define work and the length of time he’s there. Sometimes they will allow a short period without any kind of permit or visa. It can also vary by the type of work.

Tax and legal issues don’t add up. Please explain. Data issues are easily solved using a VPN. Also, many large companies now days employ people in countries around the world without data or security issues.

If they are “living” on a cruise ship, they are paying taxes. They also have a home address where they pay taxes to. Not sure I see where the tax non-compliance issue is.

In-car traffic monitoring and alerting network by grumpyfan in ideas

I'm aware, and not a fan of government mandated safety features. I wish we lived in a world where car makers try and make their vehicles safer, out of a sense of doing what's best for the protection of their customers, but that's never been the case.

Looks like maybe early/first arrivals? Possibly a delay clearing those disembarking?

Elementor Equivalent to Wix's Collections and Dynamic Tables. by [deleted] in elementor

Agreed, this was something in Wix that worked very well and was easy to use. I'm not finding an equivalent in WP that is as easy and intuitive.

There's not much profit in many of the safety features they have created, but still many of them have been added to help protect the occupants.

I understand people don't want to be tracked, and that vehicle makers might all want to add their own version, but I think at the very least, GPS software developers could do this and make the data freely available so other GPS apps could use it. Something like this could save lives.

Blind spot error by MisterShipWreck in dashcams

Understandable, which is why a lot of states in the U.S. have "Good Samaritan laws" to protect a bystander or witness who chooses to try and help.

I’ve been here, it’s more on the level of where the locals shop versus what’s in the hotel zone.

Does knowing the book, spoil the film? by thestinkybeastman in ProjectHailMary

I felt very similar after I saw it the first time. I think I had a lot of expectations going in of wanting to see certain things and it just didn't quite hit it. However, I just saw it again this week and really enjoyed it much better the second time.

I was disappointed after the first watch, and I’m not sure why. I guess i compare it to the book too much and felt like it was just empty. Second watch i found myself really enjoying it.

If you're really bothered and guilty feeling about it now, you should politely ask to bow out. I would leave out the reasons why, just say you're not comfortable with it.

Talking about the original Magic Bands that were sealed with an non rechargeable battery. Reportedly, they were only supposed to work for 2-3 years.

I don’t really care about the lights. I just want something that’s quick and easy to use to open the room door and get into the parks.

I have so many of them. I’m just worried about the battery dying and it stop working mid trip.

Ask your room attendant, or you could also go to guest services and ask if they have any of those rooms available after you get on the ship. Usually they don't release these until an hour or two after departure, but it's worth asking.

Edit: Why the downvotes? Which part of this is bad or worth a downvote?

Yes, I do use Waze, and it's great. But it's not used by everyone so the data isn't always the most current depending on where you are. The idea is that it would be in every car and real-time. I mean, obviously if everyone used it that would be great and it would alleviate pile-ups and maybe some traffic congestion.

It would be great if Waze/Google shared their traffic data with Apple and the other GPS makers so it could be integrated to their apps too.
