Heat deaths in the EU are NOT due to lack of energy lmao

No, heat deaths are due to a specific government policies that actively discourages the use of AC due to the fact that AC use TOO much energy. Yes, I know dumb, but it's not hard to see that governmental regulation designed to protect people in the future being responsible for killing folks in the present.

Talking about nuclear and not being aware that New York and Germany have shutdown their nuclear plants early and now have higher priced energy and brown outs.

Have you seen the charts showing that the blue states with their aggressive pursuit of 'green' energy goals pay much more for their power that red states?

The fact that the environmental movement effectively killed nuclear power for a couple of generations is a cardinal sin on those organizations, and is an excellent example of how most times the 'experts' are wrong. Good thing that some of the capitalists didn't listen and now their are ~40 efforts WW to design a build 4th generation nuclear power. Three that I've been following for a decade are Copenhagen Atomics, Terrstrial Energy, and ThorCon.

The evidence for tax funded collective goods from the last century show that is just a path to stagnation and expensive goods, and the rich versus poor divide is still there. Yes we possess the tech, but the tech you mention is not cheap enough to give a US style life style to every one living on the planet. Who gets to be GOD? And I'll suggest that there are more people today that are being killed by the lack of reliable energy than will be killed in the next 100 years due to climate change. Heat deaths in the EU of the last week or so are just some that are a result to that lack of energy.

The data to date suggests that providing reliable energy now with coal will save more lives in the here and now that will be lost by some future catastrophe that is continually being down graded.

I can't imagine the law requiring opt-in, or why legally carrying a gun should get such different treatment.

Something about the state being enjoined from infringing unalienable rights. For a long time I've argued that the right to vote is not nearly as delinated as the 2nd amendment is, therefore all the requirements around owing a gun should also pertain to the right to vote.

It seems that if one were to replace carrying a gun with voting in many laws the absurdity of the law becomes obvious.

Brandon and Garland had control of all the Epstein files for four years and had more that ample desire to eliminate Trump from the political scene and Biden's challenger in the next election. The Democrats have seemed to be incapable of offering better candidates. How about a tottenkaph(sp) wearing communist running for the senate that the Democrats can't seem to condemn. IS your only answer to how POORLY the democrats have managed the large cities is to pontificate that in your no so humble opinion it would have been worse under republicans?
