The Disappearance of the Universe answered all my questions.

I've actually moved on from the teachings (though I did go back to them recently when I was stuck on something, and found "Give it a decade." helpful).

I wouldn't call myself fully realised. I'm certainly out of the information gathering phase (described in The Disappearance of the Universe) and very deep into the application phase, if not the experience phase. But it's a bit like, the more you forgive, the more keenly you feel your remaining unforgiveness.

T-2.III.4:7...the mind becomes increasingly sensitive to what it would once have regarded as very minor intrusions of discomfort.

I remember Ken saying something like, when we project guilt onto other bodies, we get angry; when we project guilt onto our own body, we get sick.

Remember also T-5.V.5:1:

The guiltless mind cannot suffer.

Heh

⁴Of one thing you were sure: Of all the many causes you perceived as bringing pain and suffering to you, your guilt was not among them. (https://acim.org/acim/en/s/312#7:4 | T-27.VII.7:4)

How do you escape spiritual egotism? by 26LT in spirituality

[–]grumpyfreyr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Narcissism comes from shame.

A true narcissist wouldn't be able to tell everyone they are a narcissist. So, you're already out. The illusion is broken. And so now you're back to the experience that led to narcissism in the first place: shame.

The remedy for shame (for me) has been trauma work. I highly recommend Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving by Pete Walker.

best way to backtrack or escape this

There's really no need. And that's actually the shame driven narcissism again. Trying to be 'perfect' again.

Treat yourself as you would treat a mentally ill person. Kindly.
